dont listen to the guys who complain about zerg. i am happy to see more hibs in rvr. most of the time there where only 0-2 hib grp running and only fighting albs is boring.

There were 50 hibs on bolg ---> 7 grps^^

and i dont know where you got zerged before we only had 8vs8 (ok with some stealther adds and other adds on both side from time to time) we where just otw to breifine when 1 mid fg died and said in broad 3 fg hib zerg comming to emain. Then we saw 1 mid pug with some other guildmates run to breifine too and thought ok could be a challenge. then the group that died said: ok more then 3 fg more like 4-5. and like a second later a wall of hibs appeared infront of us^^

so we tried to build a counterzerg and even a thid grp came to help. with ~4 grps we left mtk and found the hibzerg again and thx to hard pushing and maybe some more adds we won. then we opened bolg and wanted to fight hibs there, but after they didnt come we killed the lord and moved on (whith around 40 people at that time i think. but right outsight we found the hibzerg again and won again.

then we moved to alinne (btw lvl 10 door or atleast very high wtf^^) but the first midgrp wanted to run 8vs8 again and left us. then the hibs inct and slaughtered us. then 2 more grps left us becasue they wanted to find 8vs8 again and we where only 2,5 mid grps left when we got the msg from bolg about 50 hibs. so we waited on amg for them to get slaughtered. and then most of us had to go to bed

i hope zergfights like this happen more often now becasue its nice to do something else then 8vs8 from time to time and we our whole guild can zerk toghether more often

You can also zerg in counter strike. It all depends on the mentality of the players, just like it does in daoc.

Anyway, like the zerging or not, you have to admit it was atleast fun and good to have action at that time of day/night.

I got a lot of respect for that new Hib group that runs around like we did with level 45s and random gear. I hope you all keep coming out at night.

Where do you get these underpopulated numbers from out of curiosity. We didn't have 43 people defending. There were about 15 people inside and then another group to a group and a half showed up to help defend after I spammed the crap out of /broad (sorry about that).

Either your realm is too lazy to log on and RvR or they enjoy PVE more. I'd like to see the numbers that support your theory. I could be way off base and I'll gladly admit that if I see a Dev post numbers to support your underpop claim.

What isn't is that I, and everyone else who likes solo/smallman, is forced to play in a zerg or roll a stealther, if they wanna earn some rps between /rel.

I like forcing people to play in a zerg or roll stealthers.

Wow, looks liek a major drop since Hibs lost all 6 relics :> I wonder why that is. /boggle

When my crew rolled here, the pop #s were dead even all around and Hibs had 6 relics. I thought Mids were getting beat up pretty bad at the time.

If I could switch realms without having to start from 1 again, I would do it in a heartbeat. I would rather have too much to kill than not enough. As of right now, I will not give up access to Leg/LGM in every craft + multiple geared (finally) chars

i did not read all posts... but awesome job mobalising so many hibs! I would say RvR has never been so alive on this server

Midgard is a little over populated right now i guess, so in most cases its enough to call together all roaming fgs to counterzerg. But its allways fun

I have never seen so many rr 2-4 players in RvR at this server.

And as i forebode somewhere else in this forum we now enter the part where emain becomes zerg zone every day... 8vs8 fgs will start QQing eventually, and after lots and lots of QQing, blaming zergers, the unbalancedness, server admins... they will start to run OG and Hadrians.

edit: btw the inc at dc from behind this evening, with the awesome twf from our bonedancer, was not planed... you just whiped us near ailienne and we just arrived in time at dc

The story of this evenings rvr in screens

that mid zerg formed after 3FGs hiba and alb were roaming emain. We died to more than 2FGs with our 8 three runs in a row, and after the 3rd wipe we formed our own mid zerg.

If you saw 3 fg albs zerging then I must have been playing on a different server. Our group did quit after getting zerged few times, and so did the other alb group I saw there.
Well at least some had fun.

Just my two cents from hibernian point of view:


In general, I kinda like the action going on on hib-side at the moment. Compared to the last two weeks we have like 500% more hibs doing rvr.

As one of the zerg leaders one of our aims was it to show the server (especially the mids) that Hibernia is not dead.
And as you may have noticed, we could call some fgs together, it just took someone to do it in the end.

And it has nothing to do with 1vs1, 8vs8, ZergvsZerg or whatever. It is about the game DAoC itself and about that every of the three realms should unite if they are tired of getting overrun by superior (either RR or number, or both) groups.
And I really don't want to underline that argument of "bohoo, smallmen/solo ppl need to zerg", but most of the players here don't have such supporting surroundings like DG or sth comparable.
That leads to another aim of our efforts; we want to give those people an opportunity to do some real RvR instead of pugging up and dieing against RR8 chargetanks.

And in the end, it is all about the RPs. Everywhere, everytime.

But as Neju's Link shows, we have limited resources so to speak.

Like Mirigom said, mids even could call one complete thid-grp.
That shows that we simply do not have that amount of players Midgard has at the moment. But we still try to call for everybody 40+.

All in all it's a little frustrating to end up in a zerg of 60 trolls/wipe at 4am on almost 3fgs mids at the relics/wipe at 2am on almost 4fg albs at the relics and the lord on 20%.
But it's fun too, and we expect to continue on such actions and we also expect to be victorious in the future

@Holsten: If that action on DC wasn't planned ... I will eat a broom!
On the other side I believe you, because I wouldn't put such an tactical consideration past you anyway

@Neju: Don't be sad. Albion is the chosen zerg realm, you just need to push the activate button
