Item Name: Luminescent Expertise Stone
Description: When given to your trainer this stone allows you to retrain all your realm related skills.

I traded with a player today that got a stone from the dragon to do a full Realm Skill respec. However when I gave it to my trainer it gave me a full Specialization Skill respec not Realm Skill respec as the description says.

I have an appeal at about 12:30 AM EST -5 GMT when I used it.

player mistakes are 99% of the time not being fixed from the staffs side

next time ask in /broad if you are not sure what stone is the right stone

Expertise = full
ceriac = single
Exergum = RA

I am sure of what items do what when I evaluate the properties and primarily the description on the actual item instead of a random person in /broad.

With that said, I sent tells to several level 50s (that had 7+ years of DAoC) before even accepting the item in a trade because I was worried that I was buying something that wouldn't do what it said it would. They all told me that if the description says realm related skills - thats what it does.

The first thing I do is check to ensure I am getting the correct item before I WTB an item.

Is there anything else I can do?

So, whats wrong is the stone's description. Would be nice if it would get corrected anytime soon, since its not that much of work, and even a GM should be able to do so with regular /item-commands.

indeed if the description is wrong it should be correct - however if it isn't then it is a player mistake and no support will be given from the staff

if you check with other players make sure to ask the right questions..

something like: "is exerpise the RA respec stone?" is a better question than: "when it says realm blablabla do they then mean RA respec?" simply because a lot of old players just use the stone, they don't delve them


also RA respec stones should always be given to a special NPC where normal respecs are given to your trainer

How can it be a player made mistake when wrong item implementation lead to that mistake ? Why would he ask on broad if the description clearly states what the items does (although wrong).

it says: realm related skills

it might be cryptic - however it doesn't say: will retrain all your skills earned from realm defence as the RA respecs does..

but as said.. if it is wrongly implemented it should be fixed - however I don't think it is.. these delves were cryptic on live too

I'd change the description and give the guy a new respec stone.

The description would confuse me too, and if I didn't check it on the interwebs I'd get fooled. And since NOT relying on the information from the internet is encouraged on Uthgard, it would be really nice if staff gave him a proper stone.

However the description is not correct thus it's not his fault.

What a gimp advice u said Nixian.. ask other player..so many give bad answers just to be rude and laugh of the poor new players that play manny mmorpgs, wrong item description on /info = new RA stone for the player , from the start !

maybe nixian doesn´t like midgard, but i have to agree that a respec stone should be given to the poor troll.

maybe in Midgard.. but in hib a lot of people are very helpful to those who ask.. or you could use the /advice to ask.. thats what it is there for..

and as said.. if the info indeed is incorrect it should be fixed and a stone should be given.. maybe someone could provide the correct delve so staff could fix this?
