Hi,

I was just wondering what the slowest weapons are in Mid.

I found the Dragonstorm (5.8 ) for Hammer and another Dragon one for sword (5.7). I just don't seem to be able to find one for Axe though, the only Axe dropped from the dragon seems to be 4.7 speed ... >.>

If it's like this, the slowest axe is 5.5 (crafted), which isn't that spectacular really.

I was hoping to find a phat cleaver with decent delay, perhaps there's a brimstone/basalt/tajendi axe with decent delays though?

Slowest weapon in Midgard is called "Mourning Rage. 6.0 Speed 2h Axe. Attainable at lvel 22.

And I think you are right, DS is the slowest for the Level 50s.

O.o 6.0 <3

Well I'm actually more looking for the slowest Axe twohander. I got kinda disappointed when I saw 4.7 being the slowest possible lvl 50 drop by my knowledge and 5.5 being the slowest crafted. Even though it's slower than the slowest crafted sword (5.3), it's no match for the Dragonfury (5.7 spd sword).

I was hoping someone could provide me with some intel on for instance Taj 2/Brimstone/Basalt axes with a better delay.

And yes, Dragonstorm is probably the slowest 2h hammer. :) Thanks.

So in short: What's the slowest 16.5 DPS Axe on Uth? Thx :P

I see, nothing really spectacular then like the Dragon drops for sword and hammer. The slowest craftable axe is 5.5 aswell.

Shame really, makes Axe spec completely redundant since it's not only slightly harder to get used to but also simply lacks the really slow weapon possibilities Sword and Hammer get when it comes to two handeds.

So 2 handed Axe is only really viable to look good in BGs... Bleh :(

i dont know, i guess it depends on your class but i've been running my skald as 2h axe skald ever since i created him, got a template with the basalt 2h axe (5,5 speed, lifeleech proc) and it works nicely... can't complain about the damage either ;)

Cool :)

I was really hoping to be using the 2handed cleaver simply because it looks so incredibly awesome, but I think I'll just do that on my way to 50 in the BGs and reroll sword at 50 for the Dragonfury. My intention is to make the hardest hitting (per swing) tank in Midgard, so i'll have to sacrifice looks for that I'm afraid. ;)

I'll see though, I'm still far from 50 atm.

Axe spec sucks unless you play solo and use havoc/tyr's fury.

akaik Savages cant use 2handers with speed lower then 5,5 and its intended.
Razzer posted this patchnote a while ago

1.65

- We have changed the few Midgard items in the game that were slower than 5.5 seconds to restrict them from Savage use. Savages who already own one of these weapons at the time of this patch will not be affected by this change. However, any weapon that has a delay slower than 5.5 seconds has been replaced in all future drops in the game with an identical version that will not allow savages to equip the new item.- The new items have had their names modified so that they can be differentiated from the versions that are not restricted. The new versions of the "Mourning Rage", "Dull Asterite Great Sword", "Brittle-bone Great Axe", "Dragon-shadow Great Axe" and "Dragon-shadow Great Hammer" are named "Mourning Fury", "Lusterless Asterite Great Sword", "Bone-shard Great Axe", "Wurm-shadow Great Axe" and "Wurm-shadow Great Hammer", respectively.

Q: Why isn’t the savage isn't allowed to use 2H weapons that are slower than 5.5, but the armsmen now have melee haste, theurgist haste (or charge haste), and celerity from paladins?

A: From the Red Headed Stepchild: “The reason savages can’t use the slowest, 6.0 weapons is because they possess a DPS buff and a haste buff in their savagery line. No other class has access to a DPS buff, and most other classes need a second class to provide them with melee haste. Because the savage can do it all themselves, they are limited in what weapons they can use.”
