I'm playing this for the 1st time and I can't see. It's too freakin' dark!
So I searched google and found out about GammaAdjuster but whenever I turn the gamma settings up, the DAoC client reverts to default gamma. :(

Ahh right this fixed his problem. Now he can finally see what he's playing.

There's a similar thread to this somewhere on the support forum I think, try searching, I remember the last person who had this figured out how to solve it.

Adjust gamma in your graphics card software.

Well it's not looking too good then. I'm going to uninstall unless I think of something. It just ticks me off because I spent 3 days "patching" this "game". Might've been nice to know that before all of that, but whatever ...

No wonder no one raved to me about this game while I was playing UO back in the day.

it should be possible to set your gamma to a level where you want to

tried finding another software?

I remember back in the days I had to use a special software to set my monitor brighter

The only thing I was able to find on google was this old VB program called Gamma Adjuster but it doesn't work with anything because everything I've tried it with sets the gamma back to the game settings ignoring what the program has set it to. I don't think there is anything else. Someone in-game said something about powerstrip not working for them either.

I'm at a loss for ideas.

You know how programmers are. If they feel that somebody else should be coding it, then they won't bother working on it. I can't say I blame them, it's the delegation of responsibility.

If only there was a hack in a program like UORazor for UO that filters out the day/night system, except for DAoC.

FIXED IT!!! YA!!! :D :D :D :D :D

Okay, so here is the program I was talking about, Gamma Adjuster. To get it to work, just run DAoC and go to options, check the "windowed mode" box and autohide your taskbar if it's in the way.

The program will change gamma fine in windowed mode. Found this fix searching the warhammer forums. Silly Mythic. :)

i use nvidia control panel to adjust my gamma. when using that it is under adjust desktop color setting. but as word of caution when you apply the ajusted gamma it will reset on a reboot or shut down and you'll have reapply the gamma setting as nvidia doesn't save the setting for some reason.
