So how would one explain the issue occuring on a secondary drive as well? And only with the patch activated, without it, it is running perfectly fine.

It seems your user has insufficient privileges to execute the game. This often occurs on Windows based operating systems after Windowx XP SP2 due to security settings. Try to run it with administrator permissions. If it does not work, do not run it from drive C:. Use D: instead, if possible. From another drive it should run with standard user permissions.

When running daoc and portal both as admin, or by disableing user account control at all, i get same error. Sadly i dont have D drive, got only 1 500gb hd.

Edit: Tried on my laptop with vista x32, still same problem. Need fix

Can you get a fresh DAoC Client and install the patch on another computer?

It works with Hibernia since it's the only realm without changed border keep positions.

Yes, i downloaded and installed new daoc today to my laptop with vista 32bit (Trials of atlantis from this thread http://www.uthgard-server.net/modules.p ... pic&t=1433) Downloaded new portal. Without patch, it is working but when i install that classic patch, crashes at loading screen, after choosing character.

I tried to run both portal and daoc.exe as admin, also in XP SP" comp mode, still the same. Also tried to install it to D: drive.

Maiby someone could send me working game.dll or something?

Windows is offering me weird solution. It says that i have to update my adobe flash player 8O

Has a solution been found for this problem? I really want to play. Win7 64bit with DR client. Getting msg 'game.dll has stopped working' when logging in after selecting my character.

I suggest contacting the MG Nayru instead. Ati made the fix and i tried it out cause i know him personally .. getting it from the 3rd party might be harmful so better take the safe trip and ask a GM :)

No offense against anyone .. Good luck and Have fun with the Bug Gone =)
