Hi i just want to ask if the champion is usefull for and rvr duo with a bard?

valewalker is stronger in duo and in grp imo.
the ra static temptest from champ is not correctly implemented atm.
valewalker got the 8s backstyle stun, lifetap, higher WS than champ and better RA choice (Ichor, Baod). if you farm solos/small grps, it would look like this: mezz/backstun/sidechain, add on bard? ichor -> move back, lifetap -> byebye

Or shield BM.

Actually any tank is better than a champion ~~ So choose bm/vw or even hero ^^

Champ debuffs = love though...specially on a server with only 75/75 those debuffs are one hell of a debuff....

mmh, no serious determination (no stoicism), less ws of an hero, less hp of an hero.. why make a champion for an rvr group..? for debuf...... ? imho

So. Champs are bad in RvR on Uthgard? I know they don't have the same HP or WS as others, but wouldn't they be outstanding on an assist train? Ranged snare, dd interrupt, and debuffs?

This snare insta spell gives root immunity so i wouldnt use it at all. And simply any other hib tank is superior to champion. Bm and hero got det, vw way higher damage. There is nothing in champ what you couldnt replace by one of these classes.

Champs aren't that bad, but lack of stoicism is why they aren't really wanted.

A decent player sitting behind a 50 valor 42 shield 39 LW champ can do a lot for a group imo but still people prefer pure damage blademaster spam.

Oh and static tempest is broken.

50 valor ofc. Red debuffs ftw. Can go 39 blades if you want it as a deftank.

doesn't really seem worth it to me, when an eld can do the same.. but comes down to player skill as you said - would rather have a good champ than bad bm

Eld can't do the same. Debuffs drain too much power + they don't have haste debuff.

champs are underrated imo

Thanks for the responses, everyone. Champion was my favorite class in the live version. Of all the things mentioned, for me it comes down to the champion snare giving root immunity that runis it for me. I wouldn't mind doing less damage and all, as part of a damage train, but that kind of thing kills me.

Out of curiosity, does the Champ RR5 (BoV) work normally on Uthgard? Or are there no RR5+ champs around to give input because of all the afore mentioned issues in this thread? :p
