Thanks alot. From what I read on the other forums, based on this version of the game and asked other users (in game) they said the same about the savage.

Why is so overpowered? any facts to back up your statement?

bakenekoetika, if you look on the herald at savage page you will see that there are no active savages, 20-30k rps per week is not an active player. All because savages are soooo op-ed.

After the quad-hit "fix" you will find out that you will rarely do quads.
The only thing that a savage can do great is side/backstun styles. And savages miss multi-hits and some style effects so its incomplete atm.

Any class is good played properly.

Well, with the current RA system, any charge tank, and thus also zerkers are the king DPS tanks simply because there is no counter to charge whatsoever, which is NOT how Mythic intended it.

This does not mean however that Savages are useless. Their DPS lies a bit higher than a zerker and have some great stuns, but they're slightly more vulnerable to damage and CC.

savages they are a pain in the behind^^

from all mid tanks they are the worst kind of meele you can have sticked to you (as a hib tank) while you try to guard someone.
they attack damn fast, do decent damage all around, good damage if abilities are used.
and you cant just turn and slam them either with their advanced evade.

berserker does more average damage and can shreed his targets with hamstermode, but they are easier to disable.

on the oger, i agree with armsmen as choice.
although do you really want to play a race so damn ugly?
i wouldnt even use firbolg, and they are quite beautiful in comparison with the oger^^

savage is probably 2nd in game for melee dmg (imo)
especially with crafted weapons with procs
quad proc= dead H.O. armsman

with high DET savages do well, early on you'll be CCed most the fight if the other group plays decently. I'd still place a charge tank with slam over the savage in regards to overall usefulness in 8v8, but the savage does have higher DPS.

Check this out for more info about dmgoutput:

http://www.uthgard-server.net/modules.p ... ght=minute

remember, its before the multihit-fix, so now i bet savages lost about 1/4 their max dmgoutput.

Out of these tests you can see a rating like this about dmgoutputs.

svg>zerk>reaver>vw>bm>champ>merc>thane>skald

there are some chars out of their table, mostlikely because of used charges or mopain/dual threat specs, but thats nothing out of ordinary.

Example: i bet that warden on 4th position was pretty much buffed with mopain5 aog3 spec :)

I never said there was. I was saying I think a BM or Merc with slam and charge offer more to a group than a DPS machine like the savage.

Mmh, what about 2h savage? we know the "problem" of quad-fix, but with a 2h savage we have a costant damage, what do you think? i read that the maximum weapon speed is 5.5 in this server.. so you can't use dragonstorm, right? is a definitive thing? and after, with this patch version a savage spent so much pf using self buff? thanks all for answers :)

Well there is small problem with 2h weps because there is no 2h bonus, only the slower speed gives you more dmg ....
Its something like :
h2h - 150-200mh+quads+crit+proc
2h - ~300+crit+proc

why would savages not be receiving the 2H bonus (10% +.05% per spec level)? That would be a bug.
