big grps have speed, im sure they can find enemy grps, attack one of the four keeps, im sure that will get there attation, and after awhile they will find a hotspot. The current logic for emain is that people like it because its basicly a BG. Briefine maybe big, but players will learn where to look, they know there enemy will be coming from there starter zones, and most likely going to fastest way to enter briefine, so after awhile soloers and even grps will learn the routes people take.

Back when i played on purga, while they had Hib NF as the RVR zone, it was big and there was no gates to camp. You could camp bridges, but they could be easly avoided also. But the rvr did work out, and people figured out peoples routes. It made it entertaining and not this stupid boring, go to amg or mmg to rvr, that is boring. Why not put a sign in the ground that say " Please fight here "

Nope. You don't do group RvR much do you? Agramon was bad, and it even had some form of chokepoints. Breifine hasn't, not at all, it'll just be worse.

Saying "they will find hotspots in time" is plain stupid, if there are no chokepoints, there will be no hotspots, at least not soon enough to prevent people from quitting.

all a choke point does is make finding action there predictable, meaning solos will have max buffing, and grps will be ready for the fight by mezing asap. But if there isnt such choke points and the grps have speed, you dont think these grps will not run into each other at some point. Heck factor in the duration it takes to get to briefine and the time youl save compared to emain, the time you save you can use to find your enemy.

People are to use to agramon and BG style zones that have ovious choke points to direct them to enemys, which is why they will allwes claim they need gates and choke points, even if they are in a grp running around. Think about live, do you think the only action was in emain or agramon with NF, maybe for some who are too lazy to search around, but with such populations, there was still action in other zones without these choke points. Why dont we add teleporters to emain for hibs and remove the delay, then we can have it how agramon was, the way they wanted it with the camps. Mindless RvR is boring. It would be nice to actualy see keep action, and see more rvr in other zones then one and heck its not rvr in the full emain, its basicly at the gates, and grps only fight away from gates because they run into each other, because they where going where.... to the other gate.

This kinda rvr encourages lazy rvr where they want to be directed to where to go.

Oh lord...

Not having a chokepoint is probably the worst aspect an RvR map could possibly have. Obviously you are too ignorant to understand this, since you've never really experienced how frustrating and time consuming it is to have to look for groups you have no clue about where they most likely are. You can spend over 20 minutes finding inc in Emain already with speed 6 (and yes, there WAS inc), in Breifine this would become 1 hour or more.

Please, for the love of RvR, stop theorycrafting about things you clearly have no clue about. Making up terms such as "lazy RvR" just makes it even worse... :x

and you think its easyer for a soloer to find enemys. A soloer is limited to 1 or 2 enemys, while a grp will eat up anything they see most of the time. And the reason why some grps may not see other grps for a while, isnt because of they are hard to find, but because one grp kills another and that grp has to wait like 8 minutes to get back, so in the mean time, what does the winning grp do..... amg ---> mmg ---> amg ---> mmg and repeat. They are just waiting on an enemy to re-enter rvr after diing. I bet all a grp has to do is camp in the middle of emain, by the road to the keep, and if there is an enemy grp roaming currently in emain, they will see them soon. Heck, just sit at the gates, why even roam.

But believe what you want to believe, im giving my input as you are too. No need to fight or say insulting comments directed at others.

No, I don't, I've never said such a thing. Stop putting words in my mouth.

Yes, Emain makes it easier to find enemy groups. It seems to me that you think this is a bad thing... Whatever, from what I read it seems you know little or nothing about group RvR, so I won't bother talking to you about it anymore either.

You know i play a ranger and most likely spend my time solo, so your point is that its harder to find grps then it is for me to find solos. Unless you think its equal, which your not making much of a point then. Which is it. Well youl not answer because of what you just said, but that is ok.

The issue with small maps and focused rvr in emain, is that basicly your not looking for your enemy, your running from gate to gate most of the time. Why fight over keeps then, when RPs are as easy as running in a streight line. If we didnt have DF access to fight over, the keeps would have no pupose. Even though this is rvr and keeps are part of the game. If brifine was the main rvr zone, those 4 keeps would have action, because that would be one way to draw your enemys there, and if we added a small RP bonus for fighting at keeps, we would see action at them more, making them hot spots also.

If a staff member could fly above emain and still see players and recorded the full emain zone for 24 hours, i bet all you would see all day is , grps running from gate to gate and mostly rvr at the gates, with a few keep attacks for df. Sometimes youl see a grp roam for awhile, but that is only because ether the enemy grp left/disbanded or are just waiting on port timer. The best way to solve this 20min time it takes grps to find other grps in emain, which i think that is quiet high for peak hours , but they would only have to lower the port timer and make hibs spawn closer to emain. As alot of you are begging for . That is the problem with shards, grps are the ones that ask for easy mode rvr to make roaming and finding grps quick, and not required to even touch keeps. Just look at the fact we dont have doors on the gates , when on live they did. Most of the time you hear people complain about them because it slows them down. Give me a break. Now im not saying this about all grp vs grp players, but there is alot of them , that are just looking for a quick BG rvr.

Any news from the staff on this?

We had a short feedback from Blue, but since that, communication (and with that the feel of improvement) has gone dead.

OF is working pretty well. There never was such activity in RvR during NF times like the last days. All 3 Realms were actively involved in PvP Action. Its becoming better day for day.

Please dont spoil it with horseroutes and reduced porttimes during primetime which have a huge impact on RvR.

I agree. RvR is much better now ! Please dont change it again.

Like I said a thousand times and more, it's working for groups of 8 and more. Every other size is struggling to find rewarding RvR. In general a small reduction to the timer and some love for mainland smallmans without speed to get to the action zones are very much welcome. The changes requested do not interfere with the big group RvR since it is as we all know working well. (except for the RA system issue ofc)

That's the enitre point of this thread, aswell as the request to split porting to capitals and housing from the 8 minute port and/or perhaps have a BP merchant and smith in DL.

i think its not the timers but the size of the map which makes it hard for soloers.

There will not happen much over the next days. I will be afk due to holiday season. The only thing I can give you now is the second chance port.
