As i talk with other players,i see there's a big problem in this game. It's too hard to get RPs.Why? The PvP system is not fair. There's no rules about RR/numbers of players/classes.Nothing can stop a 10L killing 3L,or 20 ppl zerging duo...Realm are not balanced too.For exemple,if you get a chaman and healer in mid grp,on alb to get sames ability you need to get cleric (for heals and buffs of healer) friar(for heal and buffs of chamy) sorc (for speed, pom and mezz of healer)pally (for endu of chamy)caby (for illness dot and root of chamy).5 chars to replace 2.We can get same exemple with hib and warden/bard duo.

Other prob,is to find ennemies to kill.Or your are 3 fg and get only one duo roaming to kill,or you got an half grp and get zerged by 2fg.

Something must change!
DAOC is the only MMO i know where pvp is the only way to progress...
If you look at herald you will see the problem.Only 26 Chars 10L+ =0.2% of chars of the server !
Only 1100 chars 5L+=10% of server population. And chars doesn't means players ,it's including rerolls ,so mainly of them are hardcore pvping gamers with their rerolls that mean finally 5/7% of players get 5L+).
Most of players are bored when lvl 50 because they can't progress anymore and then reroll...

That's a shame!

We must get an other way to get RPs and make our chars progress.Best thing to do ,in my opinion is to give RPs on DF mobs(instead of xp bonus) and named of each realm. Why on DF mobs?Because it would give more interest for RvR players to take keeps.PvP players actually don't care of DF,it's mainly lvl40+ that take keeps to go xp in DF...
And named of realm because they are a challenge.I don't understand why killing a dragon have less interest to make progress your char, than killing a green xping player in df...

Send your opinions here about this, and why not, make a request to GM.

As said someone named Obama: Yes,we can !

Only useless posts here are made by you two. I think the guy has right. But since our gms support the "zerg everything down picture of daoc" we can forget about any changes of them. Most ppl also lack skill or they lack strenght to learn how to play their chars. That's why they prefer to zerg everything instead of having a great and fair fights.

So...
This situation wont get change on uth (at least not in the closest future) so we can forget about it.

Well...I liked to zerg with my realmmates in order to win the battles in agramon or to raid a relic instead of crawling back in my house and whine abouts zergs and log on BG twinks.

This could mean I lack the skill to play my class but well...you of course as a progamer can teach me some skillful fighting and to avoid MMO in an MMORPG I guess. Or maybe not if i remember some duels you lost pitiful :)

Fairness? My ass. 8 vs 8 has nothing to do with fairness when there is a different group balance and RR. In Zerg vs Zerg this doesnt matter anymore and thats what you dont like about zergs. In zergs tactic is even more important then in 8 vs 8. SO why not give it a try? Too much of a challenge?

I have never experienced a succesful dragon raid, so yes, just mentioning this, there should be more reward in killing a very big, challenging mob. If it is not the rps, give more drops, to more people so they can particapte in RvR earlier and are more succesful and more accepted than just being prey.

RP gain can be a big problem if you are not in a guild, dont get grped or the likes. If you missed to cap in thid, things are even worse. Something has to be done to ease up new players access and progress to end RvR, that for sure. Otherwise the QQ of veterans "where's my prey?" wont ever stop.

If you have nothing useful to say...guess what: Don't say anything at all. Thank you.

Better give rps for Defending/repair etc i know sow many ppl that repair the gates for nothing. The mentality about defendig is atm: Let them get the keep if we get it back we get rps if we defend we get nothing.

Or better: When we defend, we will have zerg. At night we can reclaim it then (again without zerg).

Repairing/defending rly should be rewarded in my opinion. Wouldnt be the noblest reason to defend a keep but at least it would bring some more people to RvR.

Yes, this was both implemented after 1.80 but I think it's an useful change to enforce holding an own keep.

Sorry, but that's just silly. DAoC has never been that way and it shouldn't be either. If you want to PvE until endgame you can do it in WoW.

Say you fight some high RR group and you get killed, no problem. Try and avoid them and fight other groups :your own size:, get RPs, grow some, try again. Of course, it's not something that takes a week or two, but with enough motivation you can do it. :)

PS: The fact that high-RR players are so rare is a good thing. I remember my fast few weeks of live when everyone was getting mad RPs zerging or adding or whatever while I had to slowly grind for mine.

PvE RPS gain is a bad idea.

Making keep defending and taking give more RPS is a very good idea.

Or possible rps for killing guards? or or make rvr guard tasks easier to get out in the field? Could be a way to draw xpers out there and some small group action spread out around the keeps.
