I'm sorry but that is an absolutely ridiculous ban, and i feel an obligation to say something. Rules are in place for a reason, but this reminds me alot of when ochocinco threw a dollar bill at a ref and they said he was trying to bribe him. I sincerely hope you reconsider.

I guess talking to me is like talking to a brick wall, ok, I can stand that. There's quite a few banned players that would agree. I hope there are other players that would disagree.

As has been said over and over again... Uthgard is fine as long as we do not make money out of the DAoC franchise - or allow players to make money out of it. That must never happen.

If Crossfire had only waited a day longer, fixed the currency on the webshop before advertising it, there would have been no permanent ban. We'd have frowned upon it (as it could be changed to real currency in no time), but we would not have to enforce the permanent ban.

Now, of course the prices on that webshop were ridiculous. From a neutral point of view, can you tell if the prices were meant to be lowered to Gold/Silver or to a decent price in real currency?

Things are as they are. It's sad to lose a long-time player like Crossfire, but...
...it would be worse to lose Uthgard.

Not even close to decent price. As you can see on the shop now i have almost calculated the normal value for those items. So if u trantsfer them to "Dollars" it still would be HINORMOUS price

There was a time, less player were playing on Uthgard and there were not such stupid Bans for such stupid things cause of less players. But hey now we have enough

It is one of the cases that happen from time to time. A couple of seemingly minor issues compose the perfect storm, and noone can solve the situation without significant losses.

I understand and believe you (and how everything happened), and I understand the staff (because the situation bears a huge risk not only for Uthgard but even for their RL in case they get sued).

And yes, the risk is real. I see these things happen every day, I have to solve stuff like that. It is part of my profession.
