Hi all,
Let me first start by saying that this is NOT a flaming or whining thread. It is meant to bring balance.

I recently rolled a ranger and lvl'd him to around 30 to experiment with the Celtic Dual sidestyle stun. I only play alb, but had to check out how this works. On the ranger, I was able to strafe during combat and therefore get sidestyles off incredibly easy. I found through minimal testing that CD is the only spec line that I can strafe and attack with simultaneously. I cannot do this on my alb chars or with pierce or blades on hib.

It is my opinion that this is not how CD was meant to be implemented. If I am mistaken in any way, please take this post with a grain of salt and disregard. However, If anyone has had similar experiences, please feel free to add strength to my argument. Would it be too much to ask that the CD spec line be made to where you cannot strafe and attack at the same time? If not, you might as well make it an anytime style...

it is a bug that rangers even has the side stun ;)

Ranger and Nightshades are not supposed to have the Ice Storm side stun, it should be exclusive to Blademasters.

Well, rangers and nightshades also had this stun on live, whatever the patch notes say.
I am assuming direct control.

Ranger shouldn´t has side stun, and yes, is very easy. But for other players use server lags is skill.

I know this is not an easy task, but can you find sources that confirm this? :)

I can confirm that it was taken away at some patches, but i think it was after 1.80.

Blademaster Changes

- The Ice Storm -> Tempest -> Supernova chain has been modified for Blademasters only (i.e. Rangers and Nightshades are not affected by this). The damage for each has been increased, and Ice Storm now has a short stun component.

This is from the same patch where aurora (leftaxe) has a cold-based DD proc only for Zerkers, that was removed from uthgard (fixed) for shadowblades.

Clear enough?

from the official bugreport thread in the correct bugreport forum (en).

try to stick to ONE topic. Please. And use the Informations given.
