(too much) hybs usualy were zerging ... but u don't see too many hybs in emain ... and albs ... well they r too many ... in an evening there were 5 fg's albs ... 2 fg's mids ... 1 fg hybs ... and the albs were zerging (lol) not all 5 fg's but 3 ... anyway mid's didn't wanted to zerg so lol

see, yesterday I was chased by a group of hibs for about a minute and a half. I was solo engaged by a fg, hit SoS and went sprinting like hell on speed 5, gulping endo pots. They literally chased me across the whole Emain zone from Briefine side to MMG until I managed to get enough distance to stealth safely. So much for that.

As for OF in general... well right now it sure ain't that bright. The zones, to me, are definitely more appealing than NF ones. However, the action is exactly as has been described. There is either zerg everywhere, or there is not a living soul in Emain. I wont even mention other zones, cause I've tried standing on AMG in Odin's for 45 minutes, fully visible, at primetime, and would not see a single enemy. I was somewhat lucky yesterday to run across a lonely RR7 skald twice in Emain and hand his ass to him. Thankfully, Zubasa's group just ran by a gave us a laugh. And that was pretty much all the solo action I've had yesterday. Tried Odin's and Hadrian's after that for half an hour and /quit.

Now I've no idea how to fix the current problem. I've no idea how to force people into two other zones and perhaps Eclipsed's suggestion is not so bad. Placing portal keeps in all Hib zones would bring more balance since all realms would need the same amount of time to access the hotspot in Briefine. It would also give the opportunity to play with port timers, decreasing them or increasing as staff sees fit. Only problem I see are the relic keeps and perhaps keeps in general, since they cannot and should not be placed in the same zone as the enemy portal keep.

i think the 'newness' of OF will wear off pretty soon. Sure, it's been really cool to re-live the old days of old frontiers but the reality is that, currently, OF is a total ballache to play in compared the NF. There's the wave effect of mid/alb on the pad and hib running to emain which just makes for ~10 minutes of waiting around for something to happen. I play solely Hib and that 7 minute running is starting to wear a little thin TBH. All of the action is centred in one zone and one realm has to make a lot more effort to get to that one place; QQ hib but hey, that's life i suppose. Then there's the lack of solo play which affects the strong stealther population we have here, i feel for them having to run at normal speed all that way, must take all night :¬(

NF was all about getting to the action quickly. We could have the same area as we have with the current OF play area, all of the relics that are now implemented, but the ease of access that NF provided, with the bonus of Agramon for 8v8/solo action, XP spots for sub-50, megalodon for a PvE hit if you so wish, much more scope

the server population is increased to a level where NF 100% (re-) implemented would actually work. It's a shame the devs had to spend that time re-deploying OF though and i would hate to waste that effort without letting it bed in a while. There are more players in the frontier all the time now so maybe things will settle down after time. It's only been 3 weeks after all. Way to early to tell IMO :¬)

Would probably make more sense to enable teleport into the closest keep to mainrvr-zone owned by own realm, in each frontiers.

Example: Hib frontiers
EmainCK: DCrau no port
BreifineKeeps: Usually port Crim, closes to emain.
If crim under attack, port Bolg/DdB, if both taken/under attack, port nGed. If all 4 breifine keeps taken, port Scath. If all of these keeps taken, no port to closest keep available.

Therefore, check: closest-keep necky on, then Scath>nGed>DdB>Bolg>Crim, if any of these keeps is flagged by enemy realm or under attack, then you get ported to one before, in chain, enabling the chance to be closest to action, closer to siege, or closer to relict, for all 3 realms, while the enemy still would have to wait up to 8 minutes for teleport to their PK and then run.

But well, staff does rarely implement playerbased ideas anyway.
