Bearing in mind the deficiencies of bow damage here on Uthgard, I was just wondering how much in bow do the active RvR scouts spec? Trying to figure a rr4 spec, and 36 stealth 42 shield is a given, but wasnt sure about the balance of melee to bow. Thanks!

me as RR7 has this spec without AT:

45 bow (for volley3 = 5 arrows)
42 shield (for slam)
33 stealth (+17 from items and RR)
30 slash (i am highlander thatfor slash)

is this spec good?
well, i can say i get my kills, some day more, some day less..but i get em. also alone - even if most will not belief that.

is this spec good for you?
well i cant tell you..its all a matter of taste.

as nice RR5 with AT you could go:
45 bow
42 shield
35 stealth
29 weapon
its pretty nice. you have some melee ability and also bow.

Do you think this will work on a Briton as well?

i see no reason why it should not.
but as briton you might consider thrust instead of slash.
i for my part being not such a big friend of thrust because of the missing anytimer. sure you have one..but for high fatique cost and low damage..and the better choice with detaunt and follow-up (very high damage for low endu) is available at 44 thrust wich means you must go with low bow.

all in all its up to you what you prefer to play.

My Briton scout uses the 45 bow spec too (with thrust as his melee weapon). The early reactive styles in the thrust line have a decent growth rate (0.9 for ratfang, beartooth and ricochet; after-evade, after-block and after-enemy-block respectively). This works particularly well with some Aug Dex and MoB. However, be careful with the attached stuns, you don't want to build up unnecessary immunity before a slam.
