i charged mtk and i saw like 14 mids not moving also named people..

After running 8 slot, get ganked by anguish, get ganked by DG stickgroups and realizing the only thing left is an albzerg - i try do what i like best and play duo/trio/++. This is were the same story every evening begins:

- /who odins = No players in that zone OR some exper

Basicly all you people who want to do smallman action are saying is: Emain is too crowded for a smallman, but there's 2 other zones completely empty.

So, imo, start going there, but not just once, just go there every day, camp an MG or roam between the 2 MGs, and eventually, after u had some more fights, more and more ppl will come check it out, if not just cus of the deathspam.

Good thing is if you keep it to like trios max or smth, u'll get a nice actionspot right there, while fgs cant be bothered to go out there to hunt u cus there's inc right there in Emain.

As we had the same situation in Agramon we introduced the level spots. It was always difficult to feed the solo's (no stealther) or small man groups.

Sure if you try to kill the ongoing stream of enemies with your single FG then it shouldnt surprise you that there are more than 8 enemies in the RvR zone that you will have to fight. When we have 200 players in OF its just the normal case that you WILL encounter 25 players at once. If you still run in a FG well you get your unfair situation.

This game is not made for 8vs8, you play it this way but its not intended this way. 8 is just a group cap.

I would like to see a statement from Mythic about that. The "invite more people and fight back" option is flawed because if you do that and you kill that zerg they will come out maybe once more and then they will log. Now you may say "but hey isn't that exactly what you wanted?" No, because then theres no groups left in that realm, either the zerg made them quit, or they were part of that zerg that logged.

*blush* What I think will definately bring more soloers and smallmans out aswell are Old RAs since CC actually counts and casters can do smth without base and spec dex buffs.

DAOC might not be made for 8v8 (although you can not argue that mythic has never noticed or taken the 8v8 ruleset into consideration), and yes, there is nothing that an 8man can say to their realm mates except "we dearly hope that you respect our 8v8's," but 8v8 in daoc is simply the pinnacle of skill in a very skill based game.

for those of us who like to "eat," so to speak, our games, and play them at the highest level possible in terms of skill, the obvious answer is 8v8. there is no alternative that matches its depth and skill set.

i (and i hope most people who enjoy 8v8) understand that the most we can do when our fights get jammed or zerged is /rude the offending party, but i would also hope that the opposition and especially the administrative forces understand why we play this way, and why it is so disappointing when our fights get ruined by casual players who don't really care. and i'm sure it is especially disappointing on Uthgard where like-minded players are hard to find due to pop issues.

The game's principle is REALM vs REALM, and I am pretty sure that you would have a lot less reasons for crying if you simply sticked to this and see you as a part of the REALM which you fight for. alright then, let's do our best to make it happen. I'll camp OG tonight, perhaps even with a friend or two. If no action comes within 20 minutes we'll start suiciding on HPK to generate spam. I hope like-minded people from other realms will show up.

sorry that I don't immerse myself so much into the game. sorry that I don't roleplay 24/7 the way you do and live in constant fear of the enemy forces invading my beloved realm.

I play this game for fun and challenge. games that do not provide challenge do not provide fun, unless you are a 3 year old.

if this is war, why are you on the forums, communicating with an enemy? you should be hung for treason!

do not forget that people come here to discuss fun times, fights and encounters from in-game. I do not feel hate towards an enemy I have repeatedly encountered in RvR and whose name I remembered. I also do feel honored when I meet someone whose name I have remembered from forums because of their good attitude and constructive posts. damn right I'll have respect for such an "enemy".

Yesterday I was attacked by Noir on two occasions. during the first fight I've dumped all RA's that I had, used a potion and a charge. barring several mistakes, I practically did all I could, yet he won by a margin (I used IP2). Second time all my RA's were down. he popped out of stealth and attacked me with only 60% hp and won quickly, but an Alb FG nearby interfered before the fight ended and for a second there I was even terrified that he wouldn't manage to kill me before they did him. He earned that kill. I got rezzed and saluted him properly and came back two more times in hopes I'd meet him again and try my luck.
Even though he's much higher RR than me, I consider it a fair fight. A challenge. I'll fine tune my tactics, come back again and again and again until I get the best of him.
But I'll not come back if I constantly get chased and rolled by a group.

So go on, hide in your bunker and wage your wars. just remember that in this endless war you speak of no side ever wins.
