ok, it has been already mentioned that there won't be any changes to mythic balance, but what about uthgard balance?
situation: custom (yes custom) settings of uthgard with pre 1.80 patchnotes and new frontiers does not allow cuts casters from %caster speed increase and %power pool. It also cuts tanks from %haste but that has much lesser impact on them, while casting speed and powerpool are crucial for casters. Ever since the realm abilites were implemented, casters had option to somehow get these and they were balanced likewise, in other words missing them is a big deal, cutting both caster damage and utility. There are several options here implement old RAs (long process with many downsides in my opinion) implement only casting speed% and power pool% RAs implement items with %casting speed and %power pool ignore the problem currently we are on number 4, but as many times mentioned this is shifting balance toward tank groups FAR BEYOND classic level. Before you tell me something about custom changes - this is all result of being custom in first place. |

I don't think casters are in a such bad situation. Only thing I'd add to help casters, is the %powerpool instead of only+powerpool points.
Adding %casting speed would make a too big advantage |

what your asking is to customly add bonuses to some classes that take advantage of cast speed and mana. What about the rest....
melee damage bonus style damage bonus melee speed bonus Fatigue Bonus Archery speed Archery range Heck , bows dont fire as fast and dont have the range bonus, and they are based on qui with a cap of 250 for speed. And arrows can be evaded and blocked. If you want the bonuses, everyone will get them, then youl get upset about everyone being too strong again. You know what id love to see. Remove all charged buffs, and all buff pots. Then see if you like your cast speed lol. Would be nice if my ranger buffs actualy gave me a better edge vs some targets. |

I am asking for something that was customly removed
these are not part of old RAs, they don't have anything in common with what I am pointing to, melee speed and archery speed have much lesser impact on damage as the damage is scaled with the speed. I don't undestand the part with potions and charges, what do they have to do with anything? |

well i was pointing out, the toa bonuses, since you claim the left something out, Which would be the toa bonuses, since we have new RA system, not old. But if you want old ras bonues, there is one that increases archery speed and melee, and increases buff bonueses. Which would make a rangers buffs higher. Also MoP bonus on old ra's is 5% per level, which is more, but they all have requirements to get these. Which means less RA pts to spend on tons of things. So you can have 10% speed and mana, but you have to abandon tons of your RA pts. And you can have the old purge too lol. Think about it before you think its going to be soooo great.
And dex/qui charge/pot and Dex pot = faster cast speed, and Acuity charge/pot = more mana/dmg. If you alrdy are not using these buffs for your speed, then maybe that is where you should start. |

eclipsed why are you mentioning TOA bonuses? I am gonna quote my original post, Classic casters had the option of increasing the casting speed% and power pool%.
I mentioned the haste and also that it has much lesser impact on the damage. By having new frontiers RAs they are missing those and are affected by this the most. So either implement casting speed% and power pool% (haste% too I don't care it won't change much) or go old RAs all the way. Currect system is custom balance which you all hate so much. |

Ideally some custom changes would do me well, like those added RAs, or cure nearsight.
I could live with old RAs as it would certainly turn things around but I'm no big fan of them for reasons mentioned in the past. Oh and Eclipse this is not about rangers. Please hijack some other thread with archer stuff. |

so far the only staff accepted solution is going old RA all the way, but that would/will take a long time and I think some temporary solution is necessary if you want to have balanced gameplay

Old RA's have to be customized too to be even remotely balanced. And we're hearing more and more statements like "we won't fix that bug because that is not an issue with OF, or old RA's or a different patch note", and I don't like that.
I wish we could balance what we have here, and not spend months waiting for a system which will have to be balanced AGAIN when/if it comes. |

Look a well played caster grp, there is rly NO need to push casters anymore...

To just have 9% cast speed and 9% more mana pool, according to old RAs, which you all base the unfairness on. You have to be rr4L4 and spend 34 pts in mastery of the arts (3), Aug Acuity (3), Ethereal Bond (3), and Serenity (2). So if you want all your requesting , or at least 9% for each, you should waste that much of your RAs. O and no purge in that, its only 10 more pts for that, with a reuse of 30min lol.
So if you dont want to base it on the old ras, then you have to base it on the toa bonuses, and then youl have to give each class its bonuses. If you noticed .... Old RA DAYS... RA's to increase cast speed, melee speed, bow speed, increase buffs, and so on. New RA DAYS... RAs are removed and replaced with TOA bonuses, which give bonuses for casting, dmg, melee speed, style dmg, fatigue usage, bow speed, bow/spell range, and soooo on. If you notice, mythic just replace all you had with TOA. ok ok, now on uthgard do us melee/bow classes have are toa bonuses. NO. Melee has haste, but wasnt there haste in old ra days too ? And also haste doesnt effect bows. Your talking like we have all these TOA bonues and your casting classes dont. Or just that all the TOA bonuses for melee is very weak and cast ones are extremely strong. If you want a custom change, you have to advertise it for everyone. Otherwise , spend some points in new RAs to fix your mana, aug dex for cast speed and so on. Caster maybe an easyer class to play on other shareds with everything, but classic never intended casters to be rapid fire DDing little .... Bitc......s :p So id suggest that, wait for the old RAs if they come, which will bring 20x more troubles to your experence, or compansate your gameplay with better RA choices , dex/qui / dex charges/pots. |

1.Uncustomized old RA's (which is what Uthgard is aiming for afaik) will ruin this server even more because, well, nearsight will be even more powerful:) And yes, I know we are all hoping deep inside that the staff will have mercy on us and customize some things, but let's face it they won't:) 2. Again, that would be custom, so they won't do it 3. ToA content, and ToA content is bad. In fact we all know that ToA content is the source of hunger in the world, war, earthquakes, hurricanes and swine flu. 4. As we see the only real choices are 1. and 4., so between 30minute cure ns and 5-15 minute cure ns, I would stick with number 4. (mind you when I say they won't do it I am NOT trying to talk in the name of the staff, I am basing these facts on the policy the staff has had with custom changes so far.) But in a fantasy world I would choose %castingspeed and %powerpool items. |

There will be no custom balance on Uthgard. I don't know how many times this has been said.
