Sorry this is long winded... Here goes.

My current broadband provider has "traffic prioritisation" and self determines where everything goes into groups... web/gaming/peer-to-peer/usenet/streaming etc etc. Everything is also rated in priority. My gaming count is non existant yet all i do is browse the net or play on Uthgard which comes under the class of peer-to-peer which is low down the priority ladder. I know there has been some recent bad lag with the server and loads of people being on, but my connection speed halfs when its peek time because of the priority status.... What i need is....

The name of the game. (is that daoc or is it daoc portal)
The ports used by the game. (i hav no idea how to find out ports)
The IP address of a central server that is used by the game. (same with ports, i dont know how to find out.)

With this i can send the information to my provider and they can adjust the status of it, making my connection back to normal!

Anyone with any knowledge plz get back to me.
Cheers.

Alright, the DAoC Portal only mediates between your client and the server. After you connect, the client should be responsible for all your traffic (camelot.exe).

Now, Uthgard's IP is 89.238.64.166 (on port 10300), the outgoing ports you need open are:
  • UDP 1024-65535
  • TCP 1280, 10500, 10622

I hope it helps :)

Edit: Aww, Satz, you beat me to it :(

That depends on the particular make and model of your router/modem/hardware firewall and, additionally, any software firewall you might use... but since your ISP has that odd traffic control, you might want to ask them if anything on their side would interfere with those ports.

afaik the client is not camelot.exe but game.dll. camelot.exe is the patcher/loader for the original servers

Sorry, my bad. The actual game process is game.dll, you're totally right.
