Ive been wondering what is the % chance that a pet can intercept attacks for there master on uthgard ? I just wonder because i notice when fighting anyone with a pet that can do this, intercept alot. Exactly 50% in my last fight vs a Spirit Master. Now this wouldnt be too bad, but when you hit the pet you do like 20 damage lol, on a blue con mob, which means killing there pets are not an option, or at least on my ranger. But i know that the fight wasnt too long, about 20 melee hits including offhand swings, with 10 of them intercepted so being 50% i know that can be way off, if i was able to do a longer test. But im sure many has seen how much they , as in pet classes that can do that, can intercept. Im not saying this is bugged, just curious of the %.

Every pet that intercepts has its own chance to intercept. The best intercept pet is the highest pet of the spirit master with 50% intercept chance.

ok thanks. I guess the best thing to try and do is quickly stun the pet or something lol. I know you cant kill the pet in time, before getting raped by the caster.

Theoretically, the pet gets only 1/3 of the dmg his master would get.
Practically i noticed that if you keep hitting the SM, you have a small chance to keep him rupted, but when you hit the sm for... lets say 250-300dmg, the pet barely gets 50. Therefore best solution is to keep the caster busy with stuns, bleeds, instants, whatever and just kill that blue pet, which would only require 3-4 hits to kill.

or if you are an assassin hit the pet 1 time (PA/BS) and let dot finish it off while you interrupt the SM

or just dps the SM and hope for some luck ^^

I interupt SMs pretty easy, one piece of armor with usable DD and flurry give you two interupts. Considering the melee damage against cloth is high, the fight can't take long enough for you to need another one. Guess that would work for most tanks. :)

I guess my best bet is to start the fight by trying to gun down the pet with my bow, then us my dd charge to intrup if the caster starts on me. Ill have to see how the bow preformes vs the pet.

blue mob? 3-4 shots should be enough.
