Today in rvr I saw some enemy with around 60% slash resist (was not savages).
I've never seen something like that, is that some group realm ability/skill I don't know?
I though to bof, but bof raise only ABS and not resist. The same day they used bof and I didn't saw this resist increase

Here the screenshots:

Target are healer and shaman. Mid chain got slash resist, but from 26% to 60% I think the malus is a bit high

I have a theory about absorb being calculated into the shown resistance when attacking

this would explain a lot of the wierd "resist rates" people have

like 60% resistance

was this guy alone?
if yes: was he fulltank (warrior, fian, armsman)
if no: was he in group with a fulltank?

sounds like ''soldiers barricade''
raise absorb for 5%, 15%, 25% from melee (and if daocpedia is right than also for magic).

but its Absorb buff

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

or was it an archer with PD or AM (avoidance of magic)
thats the only RA´s for resists.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

or the mentored BoF..
also Absorb buff

Read before post.
They were healer and shaman.

I inced them later and they used bof, and I didnt see these resist, but normal high abs (I saw like 80(-30))

I forgot, yes they were in fg.

If it would be rezz sick u would do less dmg before** resistance applies.

If BoF, SD and ABS-Buff(BD) arent displayed as Resistence, then there is a bug at hand.

looks like a focus shell to me + ablativ proc/charge.
(41 Aug sham,46 enhancement cleric,47 nurture druid)

the sham focus shell should provide 70% absorb (after resists) .
The other possibilities would be the Healer RA Barrier of Fortitude (BOF 10%/20%/40%) or Soldiers Barricade(Warrior / 5%/ 15%/25%) aswell.
your weapon type(slash) should be neutral to chain armor.

Focus shell should display a blue line absorbing damage.
Also, one of the target was shaman in a fg with only 1 shaman, and shaman cannot cast spirit shell on himself.

Bof, Sd, ablative should raise abs and not resist. I repeat again: in same inc they used later bof, and I read the normal abs increase, so it wasn't BOF or SB.

My weapon type was blade, mid chain is strong vs blade, so I had 26% of resist +malus, malus seems to be 34% more or less.

26% from items.
10% because Chain is resistant against slash damage.
Maybe racial resists 2% or 3%?
So that's a possible 38% or 39% without RAs.

Only way (i know of) to get more than that would be PD, but i am to tired to look up if healers and shamans can spec that.

You are mixing it up ~Merlinum.

He made the screen after* he died. So of course the screens shows a rezz sick icon (background shows frontier gate).

But during the fight -> no rezz sick (where he dealt that amount of dmg).

Also res-sick would lower your damage but not increase the resists of your opponents ...
