Hello, and sorry to bother you guys,
I recently decided to give DAoC a try, but after downloading and installing I seem to have run into an odd problem.
The game itself runs great, no problems with lag or slowdown. However, every time I adjust my character's facing with the mouse or with the keyboard, my character model "shivers" (only way to describe it.) I'm sure it's just my character model and not the entire game, because when I change the camera to first person everything is smooth again.
I have tried searching the web, without much help, and have also adjusted every graphical setting possible, with no change. I've even tried changing the processor affinity...no change.
I was just wondering if anybody else was experiencing this problem or had any advice on how to fix it. Thank you in advance.

Thank you all for your responses.
Nixian, I have captured a short video of the phenomenon in "FRAPS." It's in MPEG2 format (.mpeg) due to the original AVI having been unbelievable huge. Have a look if you don't mind.

(If for some reason you don't like megaupload, tell me and I can use another host.)

gatovaca, that sounds like a good idea, maybe some files are missing. How exactly do I perform said file-check? I didn't see an option for it in the DAoCPortal or the Launcher.

Again, thank you for helping. I've tried tweaking almost all of the options, both in game and in the Nvidia control panel. I've also searched numerous other forums for an answer, without much success. This is a very strange problem.

I cant tell you the reasons, but for me it looks like following issue.

Movenment is programmen in some cronological order.

When you run, you see a special animation and when you stand you see an other one, a motion picture.

Each time you move, this motion picture resets so that you see same movements from the beginning. But, somehow, your client sees changing facing/viewpoint as a movement and so restarts the standing animation.

Check your graphics settings, game version and maybe, if nothing else helps, ask the pinguin on your desktop.
