After coming across from live from a few years ago, im surprised to find the boat routes to other realms do not exist on this server.

Why is this? Surely the boat routes encourage more keep and tower taking as you can port to an enemy realm easier it also allows the RVR task missions to be less time consuming for those that tend to do them as well.

Yes, soloers have to cross Agra and might get ganked by FG's doing so, so they don't even think about going to an enemy NF zone ^^

-> pro boatroutes

They where once deactivated cause there was too little action in Agra. But now that's not a problem anymore I think.

pro boatroutes aswell
right now, there are only assassin classes doing guard or reconnoiter missions because they can easily cross agramon, climb up the ck and kill 4 castguards+1 meleeguard without breaking a sweat.

We had boatroutes but they was considered no good for rvr situation.

In my opinion it's the opposite. Rvr lack in that time depended on the agramon teleport camps and not on boat routes.

I believe that they could be really usefull expecially for solos.

At the moment all solo action is focused on gates (mostly hib/alb gates) while, with boats, it could be splitted in Odin/hadrian/emain zones and bridges.

In this way, while groups could run around in agramon, solos could run in these zones (where groups has no reason to go, and even if, solos have many bridges/towers/trees and object to hide with) and solos won't have even to cross the whole map.

OC if you redo the boatroutes to what it was a few before it was changed to the current state, the rewards for guardkilltasks have to be reduced again.

This is neither pro nor contra from my side (im pro old boatroutes), just a consideration.

I myself, and mostlikely many other players in this community wouldnt mind guardkilltask-rewards beeing reduced because right now, its actually only assassins crossing agramon without any discomfort, climbing up the central keep and killing casterguards with some quick hits.

On the other hand, any other melee would have to cross agramon having the danger to get jumped by 3-5 stealthers at same time or to get rolled by fg, and then, killing 5 orange melee guards that surpass any player by HPs and most at defense.

The guard problem could be solved with some patrolling guards (with normal lv 50+ mob hp) or caravans moving from towers, ecc...

Even if the main purpose of boats to me is to split group rvr zone to solo/duo rvr zone, making guard quest possible to everyone should mean the chance to everyone (expecially new players, cryng for their low rr or getting always owned) to win something, and this should bring more people to start using their damned lv 50 character in rvr.

...the problem is not that we dont want to kill tower gaurds.... it's that solo visible characters CAN'T cross agramon to get to the enemy realm to kill their gaurds in the first place. so adding patroling gaurds in those realms will not help.

Afaik they were removed a bit after teleports to agra were removed to force ppl to cross agramon.

Sure with ports to agra back they shouldn't harm action in agra too much. Old fontiers are incomming, so changing this would only affect the server for another month.
