constant lag

Hey there,
I've been playing on this server for about a week but I think I may have to stop because, apart from the first night of playing, I get constant lag. I've disabled any firewalls, my connection speed (wireless) is always on excellent at 54mbps, I've got no background programs running (no torrents etc) an I'm the only one using the net on my connection. I thought it could be my connection but I've played live daoc on this laptop with 0 lag, as ell as other mmo's like LOTRO, Guild Wars and Planetside. Just wondering if any1 else has got any ideas how I can get rid of this constant lag? Many thanks! Thalymus. |

mostly is server side on the last weeks. btw your 54mbs connection is not your internet speed but you LAN one :p

my connection is a 100mb line up and down and i lag, this is server side for sure, but also compounded by the major lack of hardware uthgard players seem to use to game with.
btw mine is not my lan speed its the actual line speed for high end fiber ![]() |

stopped reading here. get yourself a wired connection! 1) You are on the internet
2) You are visiting the Uthgard forums 3) You are reading my signature 5) You didn't notice that point 4 is missing 6) You just checked for point 4 7) You are smiling FungsterINC's buffbot services! |

Respite, unless you have not done a tracert to the UthgardServer and checke if there are any ping-peaks at certain hops I do not believe that it is Uthgard. I played the last days, too and did not mention any of the described lahspikes.

Thanks for the replies!
Why would it being wired/wirless make ANY difference at all? My router is in the next room so i connected my laptop to it through a wired connection and the lag was just the same. So therefore me getting a wired connection = not solving the problem. How do I do a trace thingy of my ping or whatever? many thanks. |

often the wireless causes problems, thats why he posted that i guess. i formyself get crashes (bsod) when im online with wlan above 2 hours, bc the wlan-stick built in my notebook sucks :p
some routers cant even handle wlan and wired connections at the same time. so.. sometimes the issue really is the wlan-connection. if it is not for you, be happy and change the isp maybe .. ![]() |
