Wait wat

You mean that bug is fixed on Uthgard? On live Dual Wield/CD/LA also halved evade, it's been a know bug/feature for ages, at least up to until I stopped playing live.

Does anyone know anything about this?

It does halve evade chance, always did.

Did Mythic ever officially acknowledge that this was a bug?

Not that I know of, if they did they'd probably fix it by now.

Not to my knowledge, but AFAIK they went from kinda silently denying to silently accepting it, if I remeber correctly.

Patch 1.87:

Shield

- A character's chance to block will no longer be penalized when facing a character who is dual wielding.

Parry

- A character's chance to Parry will no longer be penalized when facing a character who is wielding a two handed weapon.

- The penalty to parry when facing multiple attackers has been greatly reduced.

Evade

- A character's chance to evade will no longer be penalized when facing a character who is dual wielding.

They simply turned it off without saying it it was a bug or not.

It was (is) a bug, I remember more than a few Team Leads referring to it as such in their reports, and it wasn't officially stated in the game documentation to halve those things, unlike Large Weapons and Parry etc.

That's just Mythic's way of dealing with bugs, first ignore, then tolerate, then fix like it was a feature. The same thing happened with Friar dex a long time ago.

I'm sure it was intended to have half the block chance against dual wield classes. This was never a hidden bug. Such things have to be coded to behave like it was. If they didnt intend it then dual wield classes would face the same chances to block from the beginning of DAoC.

It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

It's perfectly ok that dual wield halves chance to block. That's only fair.

It is not fair if dual wield halves both chance to block and chance to evade.

Evade ist heavy luck based. Especially on uthgard. Last fight vs a hunter he had 3 evades and me zero.
