Hi,

is it possible to implement a /craft chat channel, where the messages can be read by all peeps who switched on a "craft-flag"?

For example: If i do /craftflag on, and someone types /craft looking for fletcher to make me a lvl5 94% bow, i can read it in my chatwindow (regardless of my lvl or the lvl of the writing person).

well there is a /trade channel in the msg menu on thew chatwindow, but its not accesible - or i havent found the right comman yet.

also on that occasion i like to raise the issue with the /area chat again, which drasticly improves the realm comunication.

and as we see again, ppl NEED lvl 5 to 50 channels for realmwide comunication, the /lfg is used more and more for trade, playersearch, general advice, questinfos and other stuff that used to be in /broad.

also i like clarificatio about the /advisor funktion on this server. i was advisor on live for well over 3 years and when i want to turn on the flag here, it says i have to contact a moderator to enable it.

my guess is, that once its on i couldnt disable it which is a bugger, depending on what i do i used to switch it on or off on all my chars.

might be the reason there there are NO advisors ever to contact, which is a sugested method of getting into the game - boldy stated in the system chat right when you log in.

i try to do the advisor job without the flag, which means i have to search for ppl who might need advice. and often i get to hear that they feel pretty much lost, dont know how to do various things and getting help is often pretty hard and disencoureing, even with the starter guilds, as many in those guilds ignore the chat or dont know the answers themselfs.

like a forum without a search function.
not good.

well there is a command called /setwho (trade/class) ... so if some one looking for crafter they can find it easy.

exampel : if they search for tailor /who tailor .. they get list of tailors who is loged in and has set /setwho trade . . . it enabel you being showed as what type of crafter you are instead of your class. to switch back just /setwho class

and who does use this?

i cycle the /who on a regular basis and the hits are very very rare.
ususally only pure crafting toons have that tag on.

ppl have rather their class to be shown then the trade, for various obvious reaons.

Wow, didnt know that. But is it really that u can only choose to show crafttrade OR class? that would be indeed very stupid.
