Hey all, I just started a few days ago here and have been trying out different classes from different realms. I played daoc like 4 years ago but only made it to like lvl 30 something. Im a casual player and am interested in suggestions for a class that doesn't have a sharp learning curve. Something pretty good for beginners to play.
Thanks in advance for the help. |

You should play what you like to play
![]() If you love to kill ppl by your hands -> play a dmg dealer If you love to support your grp -> play a support If you love mage -> play a caster ![]() |

I think a tank would be best for u. Easier to get a hold off while still being fun to play and no 27 different abilities and tasks as say Sorcerers. Fun but without the steep learning curve. |

Tbh a caster as in rm, chanter or wizard aint any harder to play then a tank.. Sorc can be harder for some due to the fact that your useualy main CC'er in your grp just like bard and healer so sorc not really a dps class.. But i allso say play what you feel like playing. Ever class takes the same ammount of learning to be the best theres no diffrence there.. A sucky player will suck at any class ( not saying you are, but hope you get my point )

the easiest to hardest, it can go up or down depending on spec and roleplaying, solo or group.
melee : warrior, hero, armsman, blademaster, merc, berz) savage too but its a bit more complicated to handle skills assasins: nightshade, infiltrator, shadowblade melee archers: hunter, ranger, scout hybrids :champion, valewalker, thane, paladin archers: hunter, ranger, scout casters: runemaster, , ,eldritch, wizzard, etc support: cleric, shaman, druid at last: sorcerer, healer, bard. dont choose the last 3 until u have a good knowledge of the game mechanics, bard is the hardest to play of the 3. |

That is jsut your personaly list right.. you cant say that this class is harder to play then the other.. Its all depending on the individual.. I f.eks finde it alot harder to play sorc then pac healer and bard

well I decided on a hero. lvl 7 right now. Though i really like nightblades too. Is it feasible to focus on the nightblades spell specialization?
|
|
What do you actualy mean with that? it makes no sense. |
|
I guess he's talking about nightshade's poison spec line, but I can be mistaken. If that's the nightshade's magic spec line, I don't think it worth much.

I thought nightshades could put spec points into their spells? Or are they baseline only?
|

*looks into builder*
baseline only. ![]() When a stupid man is doing something he is ashamed of, he always declares that it is his duty.

Nightshades got acces to spells as there baselines it is nothing that you can spec in.. But be aware that stealters are the hardest to lvl as in the l8er lvl's they provide nothing realy to the grp.

sorc has the highest cast range, highest cast speed and quickcast, healer have casteable amnesia, and several tools like root stun and mezz, but lowest casting range. bards have medium casting range, no quickast, must change to end after mezzing, wich is usually rupted, ask any bard whos blamed after losing a battle ![]() |
|
Baseline only and they have the purpose to rupt or finish enemies of with ranged attacks. |

a long time ago NS's had to spec a line to get their spells like rangers do. that was changed atleast 4 yrs ago
