I just joined the server and I am looking for a guild to take me in and show me the ropes. I am starting with a Druid. I plan on going with a final spec of 35 Regrowth, 39 Nurture and 12 Nature. I like to do alot of RvR, but I also enjoy PvE as well. My favorite class type are support classes so that is why I went with the Druid.

I think spec wise our are looking at
a) 42 nurture 33 regrowth
(aka the Buff druid)
or b) 41 regrowth 35 nurture
(aka the heal druid)

Pets are not live-like in that the grey pets apparently dont rupt but keep you in combat, which on uthgard will even prevent you from popping potions.

35 regrowth gives you a larger group instant, granted, but you sacrifice red haste and int. Guess that's a matter of taste

Thanks for telling me about the pet thing. That totally sucks. About the the other specs? Does 13 extra int really make a difference? If it does then I guess I will go with the buff spec other wise I will stay with a healing spec.

Well - it is really a matter of preference. The group heal is on a 20 min timer, whereas the bonus to haste and int are permanent. To me the latter is of higher value. Also, while instant heals are useful and often essential, I found that 50% is usually sufficient.

Your proposed spec is totally valid, for sure, but it's also a bit of a 'jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none' situation. You have neither the best possible buffs (without turning into a buff bot) nor do you have a strong healing profile as you dont get the fast and large single heal or 100% rezz (there is also spread 2, but that's rarely used).

BUt then again, you have until your mid 40ies to make up your mind and see what role you prefer (main healer, 2nd healer + buffshear)
