Hi, I'm a new player on this server. My husband will be joining in this game as well. But I'm not sure if he can create his own account to play or do we have to share the same account? Currently, we have only 1 computer at home. However, I don't wish to share my account with him because we might want to spec our characters differently.

So, if we log in 2 different accounts from the same computer at DIFFERENT TIMING does it consider dual log? I don't wish to get a ban so I wanna make this statement clear.

if u only got one computer at home, u shouldn't encounter any rule-problems at all, since u probably wont log in 2 chars at the same time.

If u make a second account for ur husband, depends on if you both want to make more than 8 chars in total (since one account has 8 char slots).

A problem which u may encounter will be the keyboard bindings (/keyboard, /qbind), since these are saved clientside, so you have to come to an agreement over wich keys should do what actions.

About dual-logging: dual-logging is when you log in 2 or more chars of one account at the same time. It isnt dual-logging, if u log in chars from different accounts, especially if it at different times.

But since u cannot play both at one computer at the same time anyways this should be no problem for you.

If u manage to get a second computer, so that you and your husband can play at the same time, u have to be careful about afk-times, means if you both are ingame and one of you is going to be afk for some time (approx. more than 5 mins) he/you should log out his/your char, so that you wont be accused for buffbotting or the like (don't forget, logging in a second account/char for muling is forbidden too, except the second account is played by another person). <--- ouch is this one sentence??

Second char of the same account is always forbidden.

get 2 accounts and buy a small house with 1 vault - set the entry rules for all chars of both accounts and use that to mule.
better option since if you should get a second pc and a small network going, you could play at the same time.


many players have more then one account on this server.

dont log them in at the same time.
if you get a second pc and you are logged in at the same time, the GameMasters might check on a possible bot usage.
the might give both accounts different things to do to test if there are 2 people behind it.
log out the afk account.

and to be sure, might wanna PM the gms via the forum about it for a heads up.

better they know it before "catching" you.

actually, as far as I know, dual logging is exactly when you log 2 different accounts at the same time, since the game does not even allow logging 2 chars from the same account.

therefore, it is not dual logging if you and your husband each log in their account from different computers, but if GMs find that one person is controlling both accounts, it is considered dual logging.

Dualloging simply is when one person logs two or more chars.

If you had two computers, both persons would be allowed to log in their chars simultanously. It would only be a problem if one of the persons goes afk for longer and stays logged in. If right in that time a GM comes and makes the duallog-test, you would have a problem.

Houses are pretty affordable once u get 40+. Most of the time I trade with guildies but I've never heard of anyone being ripped off by strangers so should be okay if u don't take a dimwit.

Houses are much cheaper here than on live.

I've asked players in my realm to help me on trades. So far, no one runs away with my money. If you ask a lvl 30+ character to help you on a transfer, should be pretty safe. As for houses, it only take less than 500g for a decent cottage with vault + bindstone . rental fee is only 2g per week!
