Me and a few friends decided to give Uthgard a try, but we were wondering what realm balance currently looked like. From what I've gleaned from the forums, in general, Midgard seems to be the strongest, followed by Hibernia, followed by Albion. Is that accurate?

Also, does realm balance change during US "prime time" (if such a thing exists on this server). Any insight would be appreciated.

In my experience, the later it gets (US time) the more the balance tilts in favor of Mid. There's about an FG worth of people in Mid who will actively RvR during Uthgard's graveyard shift. The Albs can manage to muster an FG but they're usually low-level (often below 41) which makes it hard for them. :(

Hibs don't play after 2300 EST. Must be past their bed time.

Since I started here about 3 months ago Mid has consistently been the most active in RvR, although they have fewer people than Hib or Alb. Hibs are just as strong and totally capable but seem less active in RvR overall. Albs definitely need help. See the herald page if haven't already: http://herald.uthgard-server.net/herald ... statistics

I don't really think there's any change in balance during 'US prime time,' since the US prime time is the Euro bed time. Server pop drops to 100-200 people and there's around 1 full group of hibs and mids (at least in the bg's), and maybe a handful of albs, sometimes. As a US player I actually make a point to play around 10am-2pm PST while all the Euro's are online.

GL and welcome to Uthgard

edit: I just realized your forum name is disturbingly similar to my RL name :0

Thanks for your replies. I hadn't seen that herald page so that was really helpful. Most of the guys I'll be playing with have a Hib preference, but they also like playing as underdogs, so we'll see.

well it really depends on when you play, as others already said

but it also changes on a monthly basis... one month hibs are dominating rvr, the next mids... sometimes albs

alb always has a lot of people playing but not too many new faces make it into RvR it seems
might also just be a feeling but thats how i experienced it ;)

Ah dunno about that. It used to be a lot worse. For months it was mainly alb red/blue grp, MB and EdN. I often see deathspam in Agra nowadays with names that are totally unfamiliar to me. Alb is mostly just KT and Realm Hunters/Malditos/etc but hib and mid are pretty big range of ppl playing. Atleast that's how I experienced it.

If you only look up how many players are online on each realm it is kinda balanced.

If u compare the ppl in RvR I would say it has gotten really few Hibs there.
So if I were you I would go to hibernia.

Albs are only underdog if u look up the balance of the classes :/ but atm there can be ~4 groups of Albs in Agramon.

there is many hibernia in RvR, the real problem is that most of time there isn't enough bard to lead those many hibernian out of Druim Ligen.

If you come on Hibernia, I hope you'll reroll a Bard and that you'll be a good one :p
