Is your daoc patched to the required version?
its 1.91 I think or maybe you´re running a dual core, then try to run daoc with only one core |

- genuine vista or some haXXed version from the internet? ^^
- dot-net installed (should happen automatically, I think) - execute as admin - patch DAoC client to latest version (as described on the DOL website) - disable Virus scanner (tho not sure that will actually affect it) - Remember reading something about daoc, vista and dual cores - but that was a while ago... |

I had the same problem with daocportal ...
Seems I installed the game incorectly at one time and I had portal path to the crapy install. You check the path in /file/settings ? I don't have to right click and run as admin or set one core to run client. lol you could try Windows 7 too. |

well thanks guys for all your help and advice but I still can't connect on this vista machine...
I will have to rebuild my old XP rig. (so much for quad core & ddr2 lol) I have looked at every forum post in hope of a solution & tried EVERYTHING suggested and more. With some of the half arsed connection attempts/dumb questions asked I am surprised you guys even bother to reply anymore. This is the only time I ever failed to connect to what I wanted but sadly cisco didnt teach me how to connect to Uthgard servers lol. I will cya all in Mid once I have my old pc back up to speed. |
