i found theirs an option in the options for doac that will put the game on hibernate when you minimize it. it seems to be defult turned on. so basically if you dont turn this off you wont see how much resources are being used when you check task manager.

also just a big stab in the dark and way off topic

i was just thinking i dont really no what alt-tab laggin is but i recon if mythic had taken this option away and made it permanent off for all users it would have stoped it.

I've just looked at the option you're refering to (called sleep mode if I'm not mistaken), and it's seems this device only reduces the CPU time/priority allowed to the game when the window is minimized. (if that influences the server side, I have no clue about this whatsoever)

I have tested both windowed mode and full window/minimized and the amount of used memory is nearly the same. For instance, I use ~300Mo when no application is running, and ~900Mo when DAoC is started. In time, that value increases to 1000Mo (nearly 1Go), which could be the memory leaks I was talking about.

Yeah, I think you've found it (or perharps it was me? Whatever :P ). An additionnal RAM is obviously needed. 2 Go is not too much nowadays IMO.
