i never had any contact with hitback. i know you look for solo fights so the first time you attacked him i thought i'd just take my chance and run for agra. i wouldn't add no matter how the fight between you and him went

and yeah, i'm kinda short on BP for horses :)

it's all in good fun, but you'll get what you deserve, punk!

ok, back on topic :o

theres plenty of them in OF hib zone

This would not be a good idea since it would unneccesary increase the sieging and thus action area, which isn't a good idea for a server with Uthgard's amount of active RvR players.

Just crau to controll DF to start with would be a good idea in the start.

wouldn't the other keeps be useless then?

With that as a logical consequence, yes. However focussing on the actual RvR instead of sieging (which imo is secondary in RvR), is what should be priority. After RvR is known to be as it should, or as close to that as possible, working on siege wars is a possibility, but not sooner imo.

I think that is wrong .. to rule out a big important part of daoc (try look at some WAR development videos - siege fights IS a big part of daoc according to the creators)

However having keeps giving bonuses might be a suitable solution to this?

Old emain is nice map, and of is nice. But you want old emain like bg and have NF to for farm megalodon or complete remove NF? :D Because cathal valley is old emain in NF.

OF would and should mean OF and OF only imo. No need to split up RvR zones if you can have 1 that is more than capable of fulfilling everyone's needs.

agree

however a new implementation of the mega drops would be needed as they have been a part of uthgard items for a very long time and is a part of many peoples templates

I played from beta wright up to before SI and loved OF and old RA dont like the new stuff.

as for porting times and hibs running to emain leave completely as it was on live i played hib on excaliber which had about 2500 people basically we all buffed outside DL doors then stick to bard and bard aims towards emain and presses auto run not hard took a few mins not 11 or what ever that guy sed maby 11 minutes solo. and i ported to alb and mid many times i dont think it was 10 mins for glasney to come down more like 5 but it wasnt to long at any rate what ever it was.

and just plain no to any sort of teleport to hib keeps for hib or any sort of changing of the hib frontier maps omg no.

as for the problems with df and relics i dont no why we dont put in all 3 frontiers anyone care to tell me why not ?
i loved the alb and mid frontiers too its fun for the non leets my guild used to go some ware like the first keep in the alb frontier take it upgrade and hold it as long as possible and wed have way fun fights with other none leet guilds. it was like emain was the premiership then mid frontier was 1st division and alb was 2nd divison.

if their were zergs in emain you would port to mid and usually other realms would do the same and find 8v8s if to many leet guilds are running 8 mans in emain and wed just got rolled to many times again wed go run about in mid or alb their was usally people about.

also mid frontier was stealth wars on excail i had a shade and an eld and going through midgard fronteir with stealther was fun some times wed camp hmg in mid with 5 or 6 stealthers :)

one time on excail we took about 6 fgs of NS to albs first keep and tried to take it lol we almost did to but all died to lord.

im not a leet rvr 8maner i like fun my guild was laid back and casual fun and friendship came first which led to some awesome group set ups lol

one thing that did used to be good was mile gate fights wed be standing their controlling hmg with 4 to 5 groups and more hibs incoming on the alb side the albs would be building their zerg up with more porting in all the time both groups exchanging range fire testing the lines trying to see who has most numbers we no we gotta charge soon cos we killed the mids before the albs showed up and thell be porting back in soon. then some one charges and we all go and hope we come out on top. then just when we think were getting the upper hand some one yells mids inc and it get really nuts.

so anyway i know we dont got a huge population but why not implement all 3 realms theirs no down side to that only upsides

leaves room for further growth, gives stealthers their own playground if they want, gives people a place to go if emains not working for them.

Then id say just need to tweak a few things that mytic did stupidly like a few class specs need some love and a few RA need some love.

also the RVR dungeon summoners halls before it got nerfed omg add that lol(for any who dont no the original mobs were insanly hard and only top guilds killed the boss). i dont think anyone ever killed the big tree mob thing id like to see a video of that. maby put the drops from nf on the mobs in this dungeon.

cant think off anything elss yet except class changes and RA but thats for other posts

Technically if the old maps get supported, you could move these items to summoners hall as geldor was mentioning and populate that. Another 3 way rvr dungeon except in the frontiers. Btw it also served as a good exp spot so potentially, exp bonuses could be added and would serve as another way for rvr / exp action to occur for those interested in such things..

all 3 porterzones. no matter how many solos/fg run around, you always have action. first zone to fill up is emain, then odins, then hadrians. you have good rvr with 50 ppl (all realms) and you have good rvr with 600 ppl.

and the solos just moved with the playernumbers. they where always amg emain if emtpy, odins and then hadrians. it was very very rare to not find someone, be it 8v8 or 1v1.

and whats wrong with a little ganging up?

i read the word zerg in almost every /b.

spoter: mid zerg towards hib gate.
me: how many?
spoter: about 5.
me: 5 fg?
spoter: na, just 5.
me: ...
me: and where is the zerg?!

zerg means massive numbers in daoc and zerg means massive numbers in starcraft where this "number" originated.
it means "too many to count".

1fg is not a zerg. 3 fgs are not a zerg. 5+ CAN be considered as a zerg. if they go up against 1-2fgs.

yes in emain was a lot of zerging in the old days. why? 300+ active in rvr maybe?
and where was the problem?
there was no problem.
it was fun like hell to rush with 2fgs through 100 albs and work back towards the milegate - where another 1fg just entered.

and the alb could compete in rvr.
since they have a hard time building wellbalanced utility groupd with damage (like we hibs and the mids can) they could just crap in anybody that wanted to come along and balance out the lack of killing/survival potential with numbers.

whoever didnt like that, guess what, there where 2 more zones heavily used.

<--stopped playing daoc after around 3 years shortly after NF came live.
but that could be an unrelated coincident.
<--pushed hard to get to 50 + sc + base ras here to have some fun in rvr.
<--hasnt played at all since hit 50. have seen agra during grinding. dont care for it.
