So let me give you some background, to my Grrr. It started out with me putting in 8 hours on my animist getting 5 levels and hundreds of gold. Which then I invested into my weaponcrafter and got up to level 700. The servers went down that day and I got everything reverted back to what I started at. That was the last time I played on Uthgard, many months ago.
So that is where my initial frustration with the server starts. I chalk it up to playing on a freeserver and am okay with that, but at the same time don't want to grind out those levels again and that's what made me leave. So I came back to give it another shot. Well now my rangers name has been nerfed, from Lazerspewpew to Doltrod my second day back. I didn't whine about the first time, but the reality is I am pretty ****** this time. It is my second day back and I already want to quit. |

to be honest since we are supposed to be OOC (basicaly the opposite of role-play) server I don't know why role-playing names are enforced.

i support to rename players with silly names, especially those which are not even funny.

edit: I think it's important to learn doublethink to play on this server, OOC server with RP names, custom changes that are in fact not custom... |

OOC server doesnt mean that you can name you char with phrases like "Ipwnyou" or "Whatthefck" or some other non names like "Lazerspewpew". We have some tolerance for names but if staff finds phrases as names it gets renamed most propably. I'm not sure how tolerant mythic was on non RP servers but they had some limits too.

Yeah, if your name was defamatory/broke copyrights/referred to anything illegal, you would get renamed. Having a phrase as a name was 100% OK.

Notwithstanding the fact that it's a real pain in the ass to use the /t or /invite with players with omfgilovetogetattentionyarly names.

Yeah, that's a really valid argument for enforcing renamed... lol. If you don't like the players who pick names like that - don't invite them.
