On some days dragon is somewhat bugged(lots of stares, random attacks, attacks you when you are hidden etc.), but most of the days Lady Gjalpinulva behaves well. Goupill tried raids with 20-23 people with various combos like SB viper 3 + SM body debuff and it still took him about the same amount of time it takes us to do it. I usually try to make a 16 people raid, but there is always a spot for people who come often. I ask someone to relog another toon(skald mostly), so that person with only one available class can attend. Reasons why I don't like SB are more than one. For any effective damage even with viper 3, you need to lower body resist. If I take a SM, it's fine while a lot of people are hitting the dragon, but once skalds are on pad it's very hard to land any kind of spell on dragon most of the time, so it's useless. Also, SB does not have the option to protect a healer in his group like zerks/savages do. Warriors protect DPS classes so DPS don't take their agro, and DPS classes protect healers. Also, SB does not have determination or stoicism, so when dragon starts landing stuns he needs to move far away, unlike zerks and savages who can stay on dragon if they have det 5 or move a bit away if they have det 4. Also, if SB is to deal any real dmg, he needs to redot weapons constantly, which means lot of downtime(even more when dragon starts stunning), so I just prefer to keep it simple and have det tanks who can hit non stop ![]() "He was concerned only with the naked fundamentals of life. A wolf was no less a wolf because a whim of chance caused him to run with the watch-dogs. Bloodshed and violence and savagery were the natural elements of the life Conan knew; he could not, and would never, understand the little things that are so dear to civilized men and women." |

Well, I have only 4-5 every day attenders, for everything else we have a pool of players who join the raid. But yes, it's mostly a circle of 20-30 people with an occasional random. I've been on 2 Albion DR's, couldn't handle more since I can't stand playing Albion really, but the thing with Albion DR's being such a community event and with Midgard not is that Albion has a far better alliance supporting it. They have an entire system worked out with raid points & what not more. This same alliance can also summon up big numbers of players in a short amount of time for RvR related zergs. In Midgard all is handled from within guild borders. Alliances are more of an additional /broad then a real community. This leads to the 16man slot DR raids & the poor leadership/listening at any givven raid in RvR or PvE having more then 16man & not being composed of mainly guildies & regulars. Both systems have grown over time and won't be changed so easily I fear. "The past is what made the present, and is a guide line for the future." Well, "perfect" isnt' the right word, better say "minimal setup". That's because only on midgard there are a lot of Aotg character that on Alb/Hib there aren't.. so better bring more dps to lower the dragon defence.. There was a time when Uthgard 1.0 existed and maaaany toons and arrpees arose... but now:
