Albion 8v8 Setup

Hi Guys and Girls,
im new to Uthdard and im interested in an 8v8 Setup vor Albion. We are 5 "old" players from HIB. What kind of setup is run in Albion on Uthgard since Det ist only for "full tanks"? Can someone help with a little guidance? ![]() Cheers Sothyr |

i personally would not build an alb grp without the "Cleric, Cleric, Minstrel, Sorc, Arms/Pala (Arms for the rich and famous, Pala for the poor and gimpy) - backbone. not taking a minstrel is a possibility but i dont think its worth it.
add the following: Meleeheavy: Merc, Merc, x (Theu, Cab, Friar) Hybriderino: Merc, Cab, x (Cab, Theu, Sorc) Casterheavy: Cab, Cab, Theu Gimmicky: Firewiz, Firewiz, x (Sorc, Cab, Theu) - note: you need to have at least 30% heat debuff for this to "work"..so either 2 sorc one being body or the one sorc having some bodyheavy spec and gimpy mezz. as always...just my 2 groschen. edit: take my "advice" with a grain of salt since ive done comparatively very little rvr (90% of which on a spiritcab) on non-pvp-servers. |

Welcome to Alb and Uth 2.0!
On Genesis we ran a few different set ups depending on what we were up against. I know Uth 2.0 will be a little different, but I think the set ups will remain similar. 2 Clerics and a Minstrel is necessary. Slots 4-8 1 Minstrel + Mercs/Arms (Makes it an all chain group with double SoS, low CC, but my favorite) 1 Sorc + Tri-Spec Cab + Melee Train of Mercs/Arms 1 Sorc + Theurg + Cab + 2 Melee stun bot 1 Sorc + Theurg + Melee Train Without Paladins in any of these set ups everyone needs to spend a few points on End RA's and keeping end pots on hand. |

Always a fan of 2x Cleric, Minst, Arms, Merc, cab, sorc split, sorc body (dps). Can turn one of the tanks to a pally if you want but det is prefered.
That said, I expect folks will drop the mini for a theurg for caster heavy kite squads. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk |

If you want to play without a paladin a minstrel is mandatory. Classic 8v8 fights typically don't have those stand offs you have seen for the last couple of years playing live and rely on one of the groups getting on top of the other.
I don't think there is one best Albion Setup anymore, you will have to modify it according to the groups you are having the most trouble with. The high population combined with the low realm ranks everyone will have will favor caster heavy groups especially in the first couple of months. |

Without pala minstrel is pretty weak.if you don't spec tireless 5 you won't be able to hold a pet+speed if you don't use endu pots every 2min
Also I heard pets don't attack cced players So piggy purge is not possible atm.that would make minst much worse |

If a released pet doesn't attack the minstrel while being rooted or mezzed we will get that fixed.
The endurance drain from switching charm + speed song is horrible so you will have to restock 4-5 times an evening. But those are the first world problems that most groups don't have to worry about anyway ![]() |

? twisting consumes endu but it doesn't require endu. So as long as the grp doesn't want to run speed6 it's fine. Minstrel can just pop an endureg on inc followed by insta endu a few seconds later so it doesn't even matter that much if one starts a fight with 0% endu |

I agree with Cait that the mincer endu issue can be overcome without having to resort to a paladin, which in return makes paladin a speed6 only gimmick that no one wants to sacrifice a better suited slot for, taking merc or arms depending roll any day of the week at these parameters (1k loc end, hybrid cc issues root/mezz, lacking dps).
And don't even get me started on Friar.... |

For melee heavy group... i would add a necro if pathing works ok here.
That AF debuff on and melee assist can be very nice. And if the DoT of painworking still interrupts every tick... |

In painworking, does the baseline con debuff stack with the spec strength con debuff.

necro pain spec 30s rupt dot, 250 af debuff minstrel 2x mercs Have to run endo pots though lw2 + regen 3 chugging, and iirc regen pots share timer with regular instant power/endo pots in 1.65, so u have to use the BP endo/power pots.
