- All Named drops from Trollheim, Avalon City, and Fomor will now have procs/charges (and weapon effects, where appropriate). This will affect pre-existing items.

Forgot that beauty from 1.68. Looks like Albion won't have a S/C charge except for Minstrels? :D

lordgriffon wrote:Oh by the way... ever seen a group of 8 smite clerics? Or play against a group like that? I have. Absolute devastation. The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

Yes. The charge on Dura'ek's cloak is 1.68. Alb is the caster/dex/evade realm anyways they dont need str.

Christ removing shears is so dumb. It's a fun mechanic and adds a cool dynamic to fights.

first of all: very good choice :)...1.65 sounds fun and as an alb player: i don't care about no s/c charge or whatever is the downside of it for alb...i personally liked shears, though i never played a shear-class, but hey: every up has its down and with old RAs healing classes will have to heal a lot more anyway and cure disease/poison will be important :)

however, eeing this thread makes me wanna cry...i mean: no matter which patch level or whatever: people will ALWAYS cry...1.69 without ToA was "fine" too but it was inconsistent...so i guess they had to decide between 1.69 without toa, 1.65 with some custom like shears and 1.65 without shears etc....imho the decission made is the best...because it's "most livelike"...i would hate to see 1.65 but some extras like shears...i mean: who knows? maybe shears were toa-stuff actually and only introduced to counter the overcap stats and so on, so players dont run 400 dex and str all the time?

and as for dragon fang: there'll always be one "best" stealth class...my first class ever on live was inf and i loved it and i was pretty good, but good rangers and SBs could still kill me...

oh and as many people here cried about BGs, qbinds etc. to be out of patch level: dunno for BGs but I'm sure that qbind is a client-side thing and they can't take it out...as they can't modify the client, they just have to "accept" it...and leaving BGs in will after all be a benefit for socialisation in game and allow zergs etc. to be more efficient, which is exactly what the game is about...there's other 1.69+ changes, which have been in the game for years and no1 cried about it...why bring that argument now?

MAC addresses are easier faked than IPs.

One can kinda fake everything without too much effort.
The question is do you have more computer knowlege than Metty and Blue or not.
I guess 99.99% of the users don't and will get caught. The rest deserves to play two realms at the same time and should get an developer trial invite 8)

Equade wrote:I only have vague memories of the times of yore, but weren't mids crafting at Gna Faste because it was the only place to buy high level crafting materials? I guess if that if the availability of materials in jord/cammy/tnn allows for high level crafting, what is the benefit of moving to SI capitals? The cities were dead because of a lack of incentive to go there (you couldn't get the materials), right?

Back in the good old days, as I remember it, the capitals has the first 5 levels of crafting materials.
Gna Faste had materials for levels 6 and 7 for MID, while ALB and HIB had other places. I don't recall which ones.

If you wanted craft materials for levels 8, 9 and 10, you had to go to the frontiers, the port keeps..
They were the only places you could get high level crafting materials, until SI showed up and took all the crafters there.

I think it was a big shame and a really bad day for the game when it happened.
Mostly because you built your own siege engines at the time, and every crafter sitting in a keep, had their own catapult.
So, when it was attacked, it was very well defended and so much more of a challenge to get.

Yeah let's make crafting even harder, that's the spirit.

I thought some of you were whining that the game became too easy without buffshears and what not.

This isn't an idea to make it harder, but to make it more interesting.
So much more to RvR for, if you can't even go craft because you can't get materials.

It's not about harden crafting, but the discussion should be to avoid empty classic zones.
