I can totally understand the frustration and the desire for many custom changes. While I probably don't agree with all suggestions, it's clear that people aren't happy.
Imagine Uthgard v1, with old RA's, working animists and necros and Shrouded Isles... happy server or not? All the custom PvE was even tolerable. Food for thought I guess. My mind’s made up, don’t confuse me with facts.
You mustn't assume that your personal situation is a reflection of every other person that has logged in to Uthgard. |

Did you mean: Genesis with cure nearsight? |

Albs were able to fight in RvR even before Paladin even got endu regen. Since Paladin was still not a very appreciated class, most groups still ran at speed V instead of VI as Hibs and Mids were doing it (not to mention the ones only having yellow endu reggen). Basicly, buffing certain groups of players can actually hurt gameplay. I think many changes Genesis did in response to the wishes of the player base, actually ruined the game. So I definitely support Uthgard to not doing the same mistakes here.
However Mythic often buffed underpopulated realms and implemented the /level command to encourage more people to move to underpopulated realms on certain servers. So while I do agree it's noble to stay true to the patch level, I think changes that affect realm balance on Uthgard should still be something to consider. I am not sure what variables the GM team is considering and I can understand that those are neither easy things to predict nor to decide. As mentioned on another topic, there are simply some stuff Mythic "fixed" in later patches, some of those "fixes" could be considered to be an inspiration on what you could do to make Uthgard actually more balanced. There is also the issue of people minds... people believe Paladins are useless and people believe Midgard is overpowered. And as in history, believing moves mountains. Maybe at some points proofing the believes wrong is already enough work done to fix imbalance. |

Alb = underdog = more targets to pick from = people that enjoy a challenge will move from mid/hib to Alb = balance
No incentives needed. Youll always have people that chase the easiest experience, a lot of them are on mid right now farming df on beta for absolutely no reason lol |

Weird, every time someone on IRC asked a gm/dev for info of playernumbers per realm alb had more players or at least equally with hib.
Mysterious. Formerly known as
Touareg- RR10 noobVW on Uth1. Crossfire- RR7 noobAnimist on Uth1. Ohnoes- RR9 noobAnimist on Lolgins. Click this LINK if you want to see the truth about Hibernia |

Hib is definitely the least populated realm atm, however in Alb's defense its #'s are inflated by a large amount of constant reroll carebear types. The % of Alb that participates in 50 RvR is smaller than you'd think for how many people play the realm.
Mid has the best of both worlds, a large population that also RvRs. |

Hib will not be underpopulated come launch, that should be pretty clear... hib has some pretty strong and easy group set ups and this is without mentioning individual strengths such as
gp am baseline stun animists for defense or just an intelligent dude that understands backloading, 2 bombers, lt, con debuff... GG But I digress, my point was that incentives to achieve balance is unnecessary.. you'll have people that shift to chase a challenge and those that like the easy road |
