lvl49 Midgard - "Finstere Orte der Seele" - click me

lvl49 Midgard - "Merkwürdige Mächte" (Subquest zu "Finstere Orte der Seele) - click me

lvl49 Midgard - "Balles Trank" (Subquest zu "Finstere Orte der Seele) - click me
Balle says: After all these hundreds of years finally someone found me...
I know why you are here. You don't have to explain anything. You want
to free Errick out of his [imprisonment].
Besides me there is no witness of Errick and Kullervos fierce battle. You know the [tale]?
Many many years ago when Midgard still was young it was Odin himself sending
us a benefactor. He tilled the land and took care of all our needs. This benefactors name was [Errick the Protector].
He travelled from town to town helped with the crop healed the ill ones and did everything imaginable to help our realm. But there was someone - envy of Erricks power - a vicious creature called [Kullervo].
Kullervo was a deformed and sick creature endlessly determined to ruin the people of Midgard with his malice. Many times the Fjall and Errick faced each other in battles, but Errick always succeeded. Kullervo in his blind anger and envy was willing to defeat Errick once and forever - even if he had to sacrifice his [own life].
Again on one of Erricks travels they fell into a fierce battle when all of a sudden Kullervo divided himself into hundreds of pieces surrounding Errick and rose a protective barrier whichfrom there was [no escape].
When Kullervo split up in tiny pieces he banished Errick. He became a bear - unable to speak or to act on his own he was now forced to follow his instincts.
I remember that scene many times. I know I could free Errick, but I hesitated to do something because of Erricks surpressor. A vicious force of nature mor adroit than anything I saw in my long life. However, If you [want me] to help...I will. For the good of Midgard.

Balle says: I can brew a potion which is able to free Errick, but only IF you are really certein to take on ancient forces of nature. I need [three ingredients].

<<You have been given the "Balles Potion" quest.

Balle says: Here is a list of needed ingredients. The first ingredient is bile of an orm. When I was young i could easily defeat and collect the bile on my own, but now that im old I became slow. Find the green orms in skona and find me the other ingredients on that list.

<<You receive Balles List.

Step1: You can (/use) Balles List to see which ingredients to collect.
You try to use Balles Recipe.
'Balles Recipe': The first ingredient is "Bile of a Greenorm". You can find Greenorms in Skona Ravine.
You receive a "Bile of a Greenorm".

Step2: You can (/use) Balles List to see which ingredients to collect.
You try to use Balles Recipe.
'Balles Recipe': The second ingredient is "venom of a forest viper". You can find forest vipers in Vanern Swamp.
You take the snake venom for Balle.

Step3: You can (/use) Balles List to see which ingredients to collect.
You try to use Balles Recipe.
'Balles Recipe': The third ingredient is "tear of an enslaved orm biter". You can find enslaved orm biters in Vanern Swamp.
You pick up the tear of an enslaved orm biter.

Step4: Return to Balle in Uppland and give him the ingredients and the recipe. From Svasud Faste move south alongside the mountain. You will find Balle in a cottage.

Balle says: Nice to meet you again <player name>. Did you collect everything we need? Give me the List and we will take a look over what you have.
Balle says: Well, lets see. First on the list is a bile of a greenorm. Give it to me.

<< You give Balle the Bile of a greenorm
Balle inspects the bile and puts it into an oiled bag.
Balle says: The second ingredient is snake venom. Be careful with it.

<< You give Balle the venom of a forest viper.
Balle takes the poison and stores it in a bag of cloth.
Balle says: Excellent work, <playerclass>. You are experienced in Midgards ways. Your trainer taught you well. Now i need the tear os an enslaved orm biter. He, be careful we do not want to spill it.

<<You finally give Balle the tear of an enslaved orm biter.
Balle takes the tear and places it thouroughly within a bag of fur.
Balles says: Well, <playername>! You have done verything I asked you for. You are aware of that this potion will destroy one of Midgards ancient powers? Even I don't know what will happen after this. It is a great risk. Maybe it is even a greater risk than we are aware of. Are you [sure] you want to proceed?

Step5: Tell Balle that you are [sure] to proceed with the potion.

Balle takes the bile out of the oiled bag and places it in a used bowl. He mumbles some words in a practically dead language which you can hardly understand.
Balle adds the poison into the ailing looking green fluid.
Balle thouroughly drops the tears into the yellowish fluid, one after another while he still mumbles in words of an ancient language. The tears sizzingly imingle within the mixture. An abominable smell lies in the air.

Balle says: It is done. Take this vial and listen to me. It is important that you don't dive this potion to Errick who is trapped in Grumblebelly. You must aplly the potion to the surrounding creatures. They are the remnants of Kullervo. Good luck <playername>. I know you will do fine.

<<You receive a poisonous fluid.

Rewards: You receive 41,943,040exp. You receive ~5gold as reward.

||||| subquest finished and the main quest "Dark Places of the Soul" will
proceed at step 21.

Jetzt ist das Schlachtfeld
ein Land aufrechtstehender Leichen;
wer den Tod sucht, wird überleben;
wer mit dem Leben davonkommen hofft,
wird sterben. Wu Ch´i
