2. true - there is a difference between 35 and 28 dex - however did you see my post about how casting + dex works? guess not 3. the game mechanics thing was a question about why game mechanics and knowing them has anything to do with you playing DW classes? - plz id really love to be informed on this 4. I still stand that the relic bonus is equal to all classes
aka. you get the same advantage can't blame math for being right dude sure it takes more RRs to get same + stats to both dex + str - but implementing it in a different way is just plain wrong simply because it would be unfair to dex+str dmg type toons if you feel its unfair that OMG NS/thrustinf gets 1-10 realm skill points more for free than BladeNS/slashinf/anymidtank then complain to mythic - this IS the right way to implement stat bonuses (however id REALLY love this bonus to be some huge xp/rp/bp/coindrop bonus instead as it would stop all this whining + help people get to 50 rvr) |

1. i am completely calm, the only one who interprets me being not so is you.. i think i am properly presenting my arguments, no?
2. it doesn't matter if you get diminishing returns. the point is, you won't be able to cast as fast as a caster when you are a healer due to initially lower dex (which must be filled by aug dex). giving % to stats widens this gap even more, as the difference between total dex of the caster and the total dex of the healer gets even higher, making it even more difficult to close the gap. and if you think further than just casting speed, there is also evade/block/parry from dex and raw damage through str, which all share the same problem. 3. i have no clue what you want of me. i don't play dw classes, the discussion is in fact not even about dw, but about pierce weapons, and their mechanic of using str+dex in damage calculations and thus having an higher impact RR wise than slash weapons when applying % to stats. 4. no, it is not equal for all classes, as i explained lenghtily in (2.) and in my previous post. if you are so stuck up on equal +damage for everyone, you should admit that giving a simple % to damage is the more elegant solution, compared to fiddling with stats that influence a ton of other stuff. and for % to damage it doesn't matter if you are using slash or pierce, right? completely fair. you just flat out ignored my whole argumentation in my previous post, didn't you? when there exists some imbalance, no matter to what extend, it has to be fixed or not implemented at all. you can't just go "yeah, so what?" and slap it on the server. giving % to stats is never a good idea. especially when you can get the same desired effect by doing it some other way (that is, simply give %damage, %castspeed, %evade or whatever bonus) and yes, i too would prefer xp/rp/bp/coindrop/other bonuses instead. |

I noticed that one can now enter doors while in combat (a much needed and welcomed changed) but I still have issues with the relics being put in with their current bonuses, and for the same reasons that I have already gone over with my earlier posts.

Good we agree and yes id like a % of dmg too but thats not what staff has done - im simply discussing what staff is going to do and not what would be a better solution - but I totaly agree with you on this 3. didn't you say?
to me that sounds like your playing a dual wield class - if thats not the truth im really sorry for readin what you write |

@elaeli every races got the same amount of points. a luri will get a bonus on dex but will have less constit or things like that. so that seems fair.
but maybe you want to complain that base dex of luri is higher than a troll..? maybe troll is not the best class to do a caster... but that's how DAoC works. <img src="http://www.fallenearth.fr/daoc/daoc2.php?player=Panachou">

Why r u crying because the relics will give the holder 5% to some stats.. ?? on OFFICIAL there were 2 types of relics..STR and POWER and each realm had 2 of these..and if ia realm succedeed in taking the relic of another realm he has a bonus of 10% to melee dmg..and spell(wich includes heal also) ....so iamgine if a realm would have had all the relics in the game..his own and the other 4..would end up with 20% melee dmg bonus and spell dmg bonus(and heal) ..here the benefits from relic ownership is laughable..

hi, i dont know if is the right place, but i guess so, couse it is speaking about the new rvr system.
I would like to let you know what problem i run into yesterday. May you can check it or may are not problem at all 1) lury ranger was killing boat with bow at benowich keep, while player on it waiting 30 sec. before boats leaves dock. Well here or boat got to less life or ranger bow to powerfeull smile ^^ 2) we shot at tower enar relic keep with 1 trebu. The torwer get at 0 point life, but even if we shot on it with tebu, ever get destroyed. Is this the intention? cannot destroy a tower with trebu? thx, and sorry, i could not finde about those things, if someone already wrote it, just ignore it greeting. p.s. wonderfull job we the new rvr system! 2) The relic-keep towers are not supposed to be destroyable. Just open the gate and kill the lord to get rid of his spirit in the relic keep. Or directly go for the relic keep and let those lords alive, if you think these spirit's are not a barrier.

It's nice to have a larger area for RvR (less adds in fights), but i really dislike the relic system, atm it's just about relics zerg and this larger area is not used as it should be. I've seen some players complaigning about the difficulty to find solo players or little groups. I fear that RvR revolves around relics, and I really hope those relic zergs will stop. It's maybe just a "new zone effect" and nice fights will be possible again soon (I mean 8vs8), but i doubt it
In agramon, the big problem was the small area, there was always adds in fights, and more than 2 groups from a realm led systematically to a zerg. Now the area problem is solved, but there's another thing, relics, that will encourage realms to build zergs This new RvR is not as interesting, for me, as I thought. It's perhaps too early to judge, but my first impression is negative about relics, and positive for the area. But it seems that lots of players have fun with relics, and it's nice to see 500 players online |

Give the new system a few weeks to play out ^^
after a few weeks the every day zerg will go down and you will see more and more 8 man after that. then the relic zergs will more often be planed and not a every day event. but a side point. before the first patch of SI. RvR wasnt ment for 8 man. daoc was ment for Realm VS Realm VS Realm. I didnt see much 8 man RvR untill ToA. dont get me wrong i like the Solo/duo or 8 man world. but Daoc was started in mind for Large Epic battles. |

Sure, i'll just stop RvR for a moment and see after that if it change to something I like more. But it's interesting for the staff to have many opinions about the new features, it can help to add changes or improvements
