Some facts outlining Uthgard:
What can I expect?-The classic zones including epic zones are completely implemented for all three factions.
-Capitals and horsetrails implemented completely.
-Bountypoint airlines into the epic zones.
-Crafting is implemted completely including level 51 armor, spellcrafting, alchemy, craftable dots, procs, templates, weaponcolors, endurance/mana pots, bottles, barrels, buffpotions.
-Working Housing. Consider it as chillout zone and improved vault. There are no crafting merchants, but there is alot of content at your disposal to design your house as you see fit. You can create, collect and place trophys from slewn mobs, as well.
-All classic and shrouded isles classes are working,
excluding the necromancer, who will be implemented eventually(!

). Most pets are working, excluding the bondancer's.
-Players can own level 35 mounts, who can not be used in the RvR zones. Better mounts for players at level 50 and RvR zones are in design.
-Armor extensions. Enhance the visual appeal of your armor and don't miss out on the shoulder pads!
-Darknes Falls is mostly implemented, excluding the summoners hall.
Legion, princes, highlords are working, as well as emeral-, sapphire-, and diamon seals and the respective merchants.
Access to darkness falls is granted by the amount of keeps and towers hold by your faction in the frontiers, as usual.
Bossmobs in DF drop phat classic lewt of course.
-Dragons. All three dragons are killable and drop a fair amount of loot.
-Megaldon. Since the main RvR zone is agramon, megalodon and drops are implemented as well.
-Battlegrounds for players below level 50:
Braemar 1-35
Wilton 36-43
Thidranki 44-49
-RvR is taking place in agramon and adjacent homeland zones. For an overview on the RvR zones follow this link:

-Sieges, keeplords, destroyable walls, siege weapons, oil cauldrons are implemented and keeps are claimable.
-Staff generated bountypoint merchant. That means you can purchase respecs, recharge stones, waterbreathing potions, etc. with bountypoints. Bountypoints can be collected in RvR.
-Outstanding community and advisor system
-Active staff and gamemasters who are available practically around the clock.
Freeshards like Uthgard are scarce. The GMs are addressing issues with the server on a daily basis, to make it better and with less bugs. The staff will give you a hand if you encounter bugs or other problems and they enrich the community with events.
Regular news and patchnotes are available at the official side. The server is better compared with a live server than a freeshard.
Of course there are still bugs left to be fixed, but most of them have been exterminated and there are continuously less thanks to the active staff.
This is just a rough overview about what uthgard can give you.
What about MLs, CLs etc.?There are no -Masterlvl
-Championlvl
-Artefacts
-Bountypoint Merchants for weapons and armor
-Freelvl
-Direct Exp Multiplicator.
-Direct RP Multiplicator.
-No Catacombs or Labyrinth classes.
-No Cows!
-No Task-Dungons or Mini DF
Is there a EXP/RP bonus? As aforementioned, there are no direct exp bonuses like total XP times 5.
But there is a constant XP bonus of +25% per mob in darkness falls, and +40% per mob in agramon. Risk pays off.
Of course there's additional XP for the small ones as well. If your faction takes the keep of a battleground, yor faction is granted an XP bonus of +30% per mob on all levels in the level range of said battleground.
For example: If Albion takes Braemar, all players in albion between level 1 and 35 will recieve an XP bonus of +30% per mob as long as the keep remains in Albions posession.
You see, there are ways and means to get more XP, but you have to earn them.
To cite our much valued stuff:
„Uthgard is no Easy Mode Server. If you want something, you have to work for it.“What about quests?There are some quests but not very much. Especially there are a lot of quests in the starter areas for low level players. If you want to know what quests are available to your level, simply visit the towncrier in your starting village. (Cotswold, Mag Mell, Mularn).
Will the sever just dissapear some day?The server has already been operating for eons and the staff is investing more time into the sever on a daily basis. Many players have set up their tends here and made friends. The staff is not planing to shut down the server.
Where's the money coming from?The server is operated, hosted and financed by the admins and gms in their spare time. This whole affair is not cheap, of course, but the staff is assisted by dilligent donors.
You don't have to donate in order to play here. Everybody is welcome even if you don't want to donate (but it is greatly recommended).
So much for that

I can only advise you to have a look ingame, be it you loved the old or the new daoc or you're a bleeding noob. There's a lot to explore and experience. The staff is really anxious about the server and the community is a real humdinger.
