well we lost already 30% of player pool if noone has recognized it. I dont see anymore 4,5k players on.

And already many friends thinking about quitting this game, casue 90% motivation was RvR.

And its fact that missing dragon hurts some realms more then others. This fact cant be ignored, and will effect soon or later the server population. And ofc i understand the trolling mids, which provocate in forums whith things like u could have respeced at lvl40. But noone expected a not working dragon, otherwise we had done that ofc.

And honestly what did we do on beta ????wasnt beta for these kind of important things like working dragon ??

And even if dragon will be implemented this week, imagine how much time ppl lost, and how long it will take till all get respec.

Well done to all those that did a great plan :

step 1 : run exp spec
step 2 : hit lvl 50
step 3 : kill dragon and get a respec stone
step 4 : respec for rvr spec

No wonder why they quit the game ....30% of population? soon will be more :D
Enjoy Life Miiyomo.

Demand has definitely taken a sizable hit, even during prime times -- but, lacking an exit survey, we can't really know why. Conventional thinking is that many were bound to leave anyway when they realized what a long, monotonous grind classic DAoC is. That probably accounts for most of the loss.

1-30 isn't bad, imo, and even 30-40 is okay, but 40-50 is just too slow and miserable for most players. It wasn't as bad on live at this patch level, since you had places like Avalon City, but on Uthgard the last 10 levels are just miserable. Losing a chunk of population actually probably made it better, since the overcrowding at the (very few) high-end leveling spots isn't as bad, but even now you can't swing a dead cat in the Barrows without hitting two dozen Necromancers and the greys they're powerleveling.

definetly ! only thing i like on classic is the old realm abilitys and patchstand for rvr. Imo best version daoc ever had. But if u want to make a server, which deals with all improvements made by daoc,u need kind a custom combination of all. Old ra / ofc keep classic chars / make NF map+keeps / porters and ppl will have a game which has still great challenge and maybe a version daoc never had that good. Nowadays players are not that patient like it was old times, casue nowadays gamer profile want log in and play instant. This wasting time with ports, long routes is just annoying and i didnt see one person enjoying that honestly.

I never liked genesis ,cause uthgard staff on game mechanics definetly more experienced. On genesis many rvr things worked wrong or not at all. But genesis has definetly better feeling for comunity convinience then uthgard. Uthgard in some situations i feel sometimes narrow-minded and not any room for flexibility. Its like this way or noway.

Would really love a meaningful reply from the staff before they close this thread like the other ones on this topic. And please if the response is "dragon is beeing worked on", then you can aswell lock this thread without any answers. Would like to know ETA time for dragon respawn or are you considering free respecs or force spawning dragon every day or something.

"Dragons are being worked on. As said before dragons are bugged and will be up soon."

Do you want him to visit EACH thread asking the same questions or would it be OK if he took some time to work on issues?

I would be totally fine with this answer, but Uthgard's staff "soon" can vary between 1week-3months(/years)

Well they should have said for starter that the dragons had been taken down, would have been a good start since a lot of people were still waiting for them to respawn, thinking they were unlucky with the respawn timer

Right now the last news is :
Trishin wrote:Dragons:
We are happy to announce that dragons will begin to spawn at 20:00 CET in all 3 realms! These creatures are ready to guard their loot and will do anything in their power to ensure you will not be able to loot their precious treasures, so be careful when you venture into their lairs! (Please note that the dragons might still receive adjustments to their AI, but we wanted to give you guys a chance to raid them over the weekend already)

And we have to wait for a random message hidden in a random topic about the drake spawn that basically sayd "erm... they are not spawning, we took them down without telling you... but we are working on it... "

The "might still receive adjustements" part maybe was what we had to interpret as that... still not ok though :p

Right. If the dragons are broken (and they are, as Blue has admitted), there needs to be information about that on the main page (or perhaps in the changelog, which everyone sees when they log in), not buried in some obscure forum post. As is frequently pointed out around here, very few players on Uthgard actually read the forums.

The Uthgard staff are volunteers and I certainly respect that, but a note on the main page takes 30 seconds and would at least make everyone aware of what's going on.
