Without pom it's a hell of a downtime if you kill orange/reds. But you can chainpull yellow without focuspulling.
Problem with yellows and focuspulling is: they often miss your pet so the focus shield doesn't do damage.

Try to get 3 realmranks 1L3 for MCL.

For soloing? Why is that?

Summoning is broken in the sense that pets absorbtion is determined by their level and not their buffs. so buffing them does almost nothing in terms of dmg mitigation.

Does focus and nonfocus damage shield stack?

You get the damage of both. The damage of the normal damage shield is pretty low but it adds up.

I am currently messing around on a low lv SM atm, has what you have said there been confirmed with testing during beta? I am not having a go here, genuinely interested so that I know whether I am wasting my time or not!

Lv9 thus far and full summon spec.

Thanks

Just FYI, at least on BDs, I did test damage reduction from str/con buffs on pets about a month ago and found about a 2% reduction in melee damage from mobs for every 3 str/con. I imagine that applies to SMs, too. Never tested this for dex/qui or for magic damage.

Might pop in here on my BD sometimes.

I cannot agree. i'm currently specced summonig and my three pet buffs will reduce the damage by about 25%
Unfortunately the armor of my pet is not considered
