48-50 Claret BG - Recommended changes

+ Remove the Piranha or as a minimum stop them being able to move outside of the water.
+ Reduce aggro range of mobs
+ Reduce aggro range of guards at the center keep
+ Add Siege merchants, Poison and arrow merchants to PKs
+ Reduce res sickness to 2 minutes if you release to the BG PK. Or add a healer to the PK.
+ 2 min speed buff Mob (Hastener) at the PKs
+ Follow other BG rules for claimed keeps - e.g. no cost to claim+maintain but CANNOT be upgraded.
+ Doors can be repaired but not upgraded
+ Reduce guard pop rate
+ AND/OR reduce number of guards
+ Some sort of reward for taking the keep? (other than DF portal access)
+ Remove the 3rd pair of doors on the keep.
+ Allow DF access by just running in the portal - taking the keep is not necessary.

I will take a look at the world building.
As for the other suggestions, let's wait for the Generals to arrive first.

The amount of doors will remain.

You will have to own the keep to use the portal.

Then it needs RP reward like a normal keep. Also keep in mind, this is very much NOT a normal keep as it's actually a relic keep layout and has a roaming set of guards that patrol around the lakes and not just the keep.

As it is a normal keep - can you add this keep to the herald page (graphically)? If not, perhaps some sort of indication of ownership as it's a secondary method to get to DF.

Now put in the /rp off command so we can have dedicated battleground characters for fighting in the lower battlegrounds and participating with the people that don't have lvl 50's...

My lvl 50 inf can interact with grey's all day long in DF (if there where any anymore)...but...I'd much rather have characters closer to their level where as they have a chance of "fair fight"

Yes, I grey gank in DF. But only mids because I feel sorry for hib and I won't kill a hib unless they try to kill me.

And why grey gank mid you say...because of Zepi. You blues deserve it.

This battleground has failed.

Remake it as New Frontier style and see if that brings people out.

First of all, just want to say...I wish Claret was 'the' place people went.

Second, this post about the Generals is about the biggest mystery to me...I know Abydos said it was just a bit of role play...but it really sounded like there was more planned for Claret with these Generals...

Anyway...even if RvR missions continue to need development...is there any way to revitalize Claret? Spy made some good suggestions...

My suggestions:

Move the solo/duo/trio bonus to Claret for the time being...and maybe even leave it at the "low-pop" %40 setting.

Add a named (like other BGs) worth farming for ROGs...

Link kill spam in Claret to main RvR zones

Give CK the 'close to' bonus to DF. Remove the 'guild' bonus aspect, and make it so each keep level adds a static 5% additional boost to DF XP.

Make Claret its own necklace for level 35+

Tinderboxes!

Add tinderboxes to all BG mobs, with the drop rate dependant on mob lvl. (To avoid level 26 /xp off farm toons in Abermenai)
