Here you can post tipps and comments to the dragon raids

my strategie will be the following in sharknotes:

-both grps hit the dragon till 55 percent (first grp is aggro grp)
-at 55 percent the chosen tanks go to their gate positions and wait for the messengers to kill them
-on every gate will be at least one campfire

Okay some little tips don´t know if they are still up to date but i guess they are helpfull ^^

Useful things:
-Tinderboxes(mana regeneration)
-Manapots
-Ras (Twf,St,Mcl is useful too)

Sometimes at the end of a Raid (when the Dragon got low Hps) it happens that the Dragon stares more often different guys .

All tanks are dead. What can we do now?

The Dragon will loose his aggro after every tank is dead.
So the Healers have to rezz the tanks, but pay attention to the Dragon sometimes he aggros the rezzed ones aggain
If this happens the others should take a little distance and after the aggroed one is dead the Healers can rezz him again.

Very Important :!:
The Dragon will start spawning Messengers at like 40-30%.
These Messengers are special Mobs, which try to get *help.
The Messengers got a damn high speed(like speed5+sprint) so if its a bit laggy you´ll get some problems.

*help= Houndrads of high mobs

Even though i am not a Hib maybe i can help you out a little since i have organized many Dragonraids on Midgard when i was more active.

First off:
When i looked at your Groupsetups i saw you want to work with Engage Tanks. On live this Strategie is great,on Uth Engage doesn´t seem to work to good. These Tanks will block like 2-3 Hits...in the whole fight if lucky. So better get in a 2nd or even 3rd warden there,AotG does awesome damage gainst the Dragon and makes tanking it alot easier for your Maintank. And TWF is also dealing really decent Damage gainst the Dragon if it wasn´t nerfed since we tried it out last time.So having in some wardens might be a good idea ;).The 2nd Tank in the Maingrp also taunts to get more aggro onto the 1st tank (protect Chain) and to make sure he is the 2nd one who gets atacked after the Tanks dies (if he should die).

Regarding the Messangers:Since 1.89 its easier to hold them right inside the lair with 2 Bombs. You don´t need anything more then these to not leak them.So 4 Tank 2 Bombs 2 Druids for the 2nd Grp should be sufficient, and also like that you can deal more Damage on the Dragon the whole time.
Just debuffpull them when they spawn and nuke them down, easy since you can stand in the middle of the lair where they spawn anyways.

Regarding the camps like healercamp etc.:Try to pull the Dragon into 1 Corner of the Lair and set up 1 campfire in the middle of the lair, like that you can get the Messangers right when they spawn, you have full Manareg for your Bombs and your healers and you have enugh room to run to when you get stared at.

My suggestion for grpsetups:

1 Grp:

Tank (42+ Shield with Mob3+ preferably)
2nd Tank (42+ Shield with Mob3+ preferably)
Warden
Warden
Druid
Bard
Druid
Druid

2 Grp:

Damdealer
Damdealer
Warden
Warden
Bard
Druid
Bomb
(Or for Pom a Menta ;).nuke is nuke even is Bomb is better)

So far, maybe i could help you out a little

after the last raids i can say 1 bomb in the middle of the lair is enough the only thing is to stand at the right position and spam the grey bomb only to pull (you will reg mana while casting), about 2-3 players in the middle are enough to take away the pulled messengers from the bomb, no need for moc or dealing dmg with the bomb; though i sometimes switched to the lvl 26 bomb to deal about 150-200 dmg to the messengers but fast switched back to pull again cause of instant getting aggro :)

there is one special thing for the maintank, when you engage and the dragon makes a stare, you must hit the dragon once or he will loose aggro and fly away after a short while, dont know if that is bugged, but it is a fact
you can easily see before how the dragon tries to look at the stared player and makes low jumps towards that direction, 1 taunt and after engage is enough to hold aggro then

btw the tip with pulling the dragon to the lairs side with the back to the rest of the raid was very good and in fact nearly all staires made no dmg cause the dragon looked another direction, so everyone who gets agro must stay cool and pull the dragon back to its position to the side of the lair
also very important if any other then the maintanks have aggro...hell damned never get the idea to heal them...make sure that everyone who has dragon aggro other then maintanks is dead...though my druid survived one time the aggro with rr5 and maintank getting fast enough aggro again

also very important is to make a protect chain between the tanks in maingroup so every tank can taunt but its sure only one has aggro, so the maintank protects the second tank and so on...open protects could be used for wardens, maybe they will survive one day :P
