Since people kept asking me about XP loot I decided to make a list and share it here.

Each item is worth 0.1 bub (1%) no matter what level you are. I recommend to hand them in at their max level (i.e. 48 for Pastry Puffs) to get the most XP per item.


This should be all the currently implemented XP loot for Hibernia:

36-40 - Gold Lined Drinking Horn - Cliff Dwellers (Cliffs of Moher) - Yvon (Tir Urphost)
37-41 - Phaeghoul Red Hand - Phaeghoul (Cliffs of Moher/Hib Frontiers) - Sentinel Casidhe (Tir Urphost)
38-42 - Grovewood Bark - Grovewood (Cliffs of Moher/Hib Frontiers) - Saraid (Caille)
41-43 - Glimmering Gem - most Glimmer mobs (Sheeroe Hills) - Llalla (Druim Ligen)
41-46 - Morass Leech Blood - Morass Leech (Bog of Cullen) - Wony (Mag Mell)
45-47 - Melancholic Fairy Wing - Melancholic Fairy (Lough Gur) - Broc (Siopa - Bog of Cullen) - 15 max = 1.5 bubs
46-48 - Pastry Puff - Grogan (Hib Frontiers) - Brigacos (Tir na Nog) - 15 max = 1.5 bubs
49 - Spectral Essence - Spectral Manslayer/Granny (Cursed Forest/Hib Frontiers) - Rhosyn (Tir na Nog) - 15 max = 1.5 bubs
49 - Fine Bear Pelt - Unearthed Cave Bear (Cursed Forest/Hib Frontiers) - Aurlia (Tir na Nog) - 15 max = 1.5 bubs

You can hand in both level 49 items and get 3 bubs that way.

Fairy Wings only 15 items?

Shouldnt they all have a limit of 20 for 2.0 bubble XP for each different item?

Patch notes confirm that only 15 were allowed to be turned in, at this patch level.

Do the Vehement Guardians drop their Gizzard XP items here yet?

I'm going to go kill some later and check, but can confirm that all the other mobs in Cliffs who have drops listed here (Phaeghouls, the trees + the Cliff Dwellers) do drop their xp items.

How about the crab meat? They have the Leach Blood from Bog, but didn't add the crab meat?

That quest refers to an item that, on Live, does not delve any information nor have anything to do with an XP quest. I can only assume the quest was removed some time ago. So I wouldn't expect to see it showing up, since we can't get any data for it.

I've sold the Glimmering Gem for 50g/piece. I'm not sure there's deep enough inventory to say whether there's a stable market, though.

There is a little bit of a market, especially on the higher level ones, the ones riddled with agro around them (leech blood) and the ones that are frontier-only (Grogan drop for instance as it's a risk-reward thing). Since Sheeroe is farmed hard you can get a x15 stack of the Glimmering Gems for fairly cheap compared to the others.

I wish there was a handful more of these to alleviate the lack of SI questing for the mid-late 30's-through-40's grind.

By the way, from what I have seen having killed a ton of the Vehement Guardians, they do NOT drop their XP turn in Gizzard items here yet.

I have killed a ton of spectral manslayers and grannies last week, and never got any spectral essences. Can anyone confirm that they do drop?

And can anyone confirm the number of items we're able to hand in for each of them?
On ZAM for the Vehement Guardians there's a guy saying he handed in 20 and got 2.5 bubs at level 41. Giev!

I've been collecting them lately - But I stopped at 15 each, because that seems to be what people are saying we're able to hand in.

Currently doing Grogan's and then still missing Manslayer/Granny and Unearthed Cave Bear's. Hasn't been particularly difficult to get, just tedious Still more of an experience since it's the first time I'm doing it. Probably will not run such a collection round again

Looks like, if they were all to be implemented, that one can almost level entirely on xp items :p Long way to goal. I had no idea how comprehensive this was.

The number of items is 15 for patch 1.65

so first 5 xp loots are not limited to 15, right?
