Hi guys,
how are Valewalkers doing right now in RvR? Are they accepted in 8v8? Can they pull-off something useful for the Group with the Current RAs? |
|
As an alb i haven't seen a single Valewalker yet :\

It's amazing, they'r so ****** OP !! Every grp want at least 2 of them since they are the key to return the fight and win !! They do the dps of 2 BMs and 2 casters at the same time. Omg plz fix them. They have tons of absorb and hp, more than hero.
What did you expect ? The situation of VW is a disaster : as expected -> no grp for them. Most of their skills are bugged/missing => have a look on the sub-forum. The unique RA is as good as the minstrel abla group. |

As always the choice for Melee is=
Midgard: Berz or Sav Hib: BM Alb: Merc Here we go the melee situation of all the realm if they want to be competitive, every other class or hybrid perform always less of these 4 classes. for midgard War can be useful sometimes, but for the other realms hero/arms can be dumped for a 42shield bm/merc and you will have the same with more damage. So for what we can see, midgard is the realm with more variation!!! you can choose between 2 classes!!! Bers and Sav! |

They are good.... as long as you aren't sitting in CCs the whole fight. Which means save your purge for root and pray that your demezzer doesn't suck. VWs are not pug friendly, so you will have a rough time, but I have played with multiple that can get the job done.
Hib - Falken (BM) / Sneakster (NS) / Kalfen (Enchanter) - Currently Inactive
Alb - Djfalken (Minstrel) - Inactive Mid - Tooeasynothanks |

Wth Dude, Arms is WAY better as a peeler then a Merc ![]() Ololofeld - BD - Lyo/Mid

They have a good Polearm Snare, but beside that, if the Merc know how to strafe, a side-snare is literally an anytime (If specced blunt they have a after-anytime snare, so they don't even need the side-one), and same for the Slam, that both Classes have... And anyway he have Preven Flight, so in any scenario is not much of a difference. I would rather have a Merc that know what he's doing than an Arms, but that is preference... Anyway, what I was saying is that Midgard is the only one Realm that have a concrete chooice for the role of Light-Tank. Midgard can choose without any lose between Bers and Savage, the other Realms can't, they have Merc and BM and they need to stick with them. |

try sidesnare a target that is running away from you .
And try the find a usefull Grp RA like SB on Merc Ololofeld - BD - Lyo/Mid

Prevent Flight will do the work most of the time, and when Prevent Flight is active on your Target, if you really need another Snare, you can easly apply the Side-Snare against a slowed Target. There is not doubt the an Anytime-Snare is better, but the difference is so minimal most of the time, that I would prefer having a Good Merc than a Arms, that does not remove the fact the the Polearm Snare is good, but it is the only plus that the Arms have compared to a Merc. |

Well nice theorycrafting there, but this is not how this works in combat.
Prevent flight is a proc and therefore far from reliable. I can strafe my sidesnare pretty good, I hit it in 6 of 10 swings. But this is also far from reliable. But what you need on a peeler is a 100 percent foolproof way to keep your enemys away from your casters. This means backsnare or anytime snare. Wasting slam timer for normal peels is just not an option. Back to topic VW can fill the role of a backline dps with sidestun. Anything that comes close to your casters will get harassed by the vw. Setup could be Ddb Eld VW Hero or ench or Bm Bm or hero Lightment or bard |

The problem valewalkers run into is more of a not getting determination just like champs they can dish out good dps and I truly casters.
Sadly most of the time they will be standing with Z while the rest of the group is fighting. To combat this get purge and play with guildmates. Also do not use any AOE proc styles - Syska Animist
