Champion as solo farmer?

Making an alt as a solo farmer, and maybe as a crafter. Shield champ seems like it would be pretty good as both a solo toon and a weapon crafter. Thinking celt as race with 39 blades, 42 shield, 50 valor, rest in parry. Doesn't seem like a mob could touch you with all the debuffs.

Yes but get a bard friend, solo with no endo no pom and no heals its not going to be fast enough to be an efficient form of "farming", as a champ you're pulling mobs one by one.
Get a bard and you can duo diamonds no problem and really fast too. Solo? You can kill yellow mobs somewhat fast but ojs will cause downtime, not sure i would call that farming. The only really efficient melee farmers are friar, pld and warden and only friar is fast at it. |

Thanks much. It was a thought anyway

Valewalker is also a strong solo farmer - that scythe they carry farms monsters just as easily as the autumn harvest their weapons were designed for
![]() You will have access to high evade / parry rates (parry dependent on spec) and can limit your endurance expenditure to reactive styles (low endurance cost), then use your lifetap to pull mobs and heal yourself. Will be infinitely faster than slowly prodding away at a monster with potato peeler and shield until they eventually die of boredom, only to have to recover end, power and HP at the end ![]() Edit: I saw your name is slowpoke, which pretty accurately summarises fighting mobs with a sword & shield ![]() |
