Blade VS Pierce = No-stun VS Stun
Your dmg are 100% STR based VS 50% STR/DEXT = 100% dmg nerf with a STR/CON debuff VS 50%

NS and RANGERS have access to the side stun.
Several people confirmed that.

Still, the rest Feuille said is very true.

With pierce you have to face 10% bonus resist against SB, hunters and infis.

But - if you take into consideration, that we will have no celt shades, only low str classes and there is a str/con debuff and a single str debuff - you will be debuffed into the ground by other assassins. The after evade stun in pierce is another bonus.

Elf is good (great racial resists) - but I would highly recommand to use pierce instead of blades.

Play the race u like, i always played an elf. Luri are smaller yeah, but you have to like your char to invest in.

but this early in daoc u will Loose the side stun it will become a 2 style chain so very unreliable i agree with str con comment however luri is better than elf due to the 5% crust resist they get so u will take less dmg vs mids n friars nice growth rates on some styles in blades i feel the NS could take advantage of 29 follow up of the 44 style could dish out dmg n the to hit bonus isn't bad idk i just feel like there is something here but every some shuns it way to fast. idk im probably wrong. but i like being different ^-^ maybe live ill roll the blade luri ns im playing elf for test its not bad
but i still feel luri blade > elf blade

You ll face more stealthers than anything else.
Luri got 5% crush resist. Useless. Elf got 2% slash for sb and 3% thrust for inf.
Luri and elf have same str, so same dmg with blades and same issues with str/con.
Yeah 5 more pts and dext and quick for luri, wow.
Elf is not gimp regarding stats, he is even slightly better.

The SIZE is the only reason to choose a luri and i fairly agree on that. But saracen are tall aswell, it never forbid any infiltrator to reach high RR.

As i said, play the race u like, just put the right reasons

from what i have read i cant find the patch notes as i am writing this but the side stun wasn't given to ns until 1.67 or 1.69 you satill had one but it was off 2 more other styles so it makes it unreliable and you are right elf blade shade is probably better dude to the resistances so i will probably do that thanks for the tips !

Patch notes of 1.62 have been wrong. Side stun was given to all CD classes with this patch (however there is no offical statement that side stun has ever been introduced for stealthers!).

However, it may be better for the game if there was no side stun for hib stealthers.

IMO, the dex helps a lot if you are planning on running pierce. So luri pierce is viable. The off evade stun is can be the defining part of your fight.

other big reason to go Pierce is Pooka Buff... u get 75 dex qui

and there is no available str/con with 75... until Si isnt implenented.

So Pooka wins every fight if used.

I’m a blade elf NS and will write up a dissertation on why it’s better for me.

It’s a tougher spec because you have to do things a little better but it’s a superior spec compared to pierce if played correctly. Looking through here people aren’t looking at the whole picture and you have to look at everything to see it correctly.
