Hello there.

I am going to play this awesome game once more. It looks like there will be 3 possibly 4 people in my group, including myself. In the past I have played primarily Midgard as a Warrior, Skald and Shadowblade.

Based on this I am trying to figure out the best fit for me from a class perspective here int he realm of Hibernia.

I am leaning towards NS, Champ or BM or Bard. Of the 3 which would be good for a 3 man setup, At this time I have no idea what the others will play either.

Recommendations on total group comps for 3/4 mans appreciated as well. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Muggin.

Welcome to the green lands. It will be quite hard to pick between those 4 classes, they are all very different from each other.

Nightshade is a stealther and even if you spec like a bm, it will always be subpar compared to a real bm. So for a group bm would be better. If you want to solo and group, nightshade becomes viable though.

Champ vs bm, bm is most wanted out here, since LW falls behind in dmg (at least until very high rank). And without stoicism and charge, you will have a harder time getting and staying on the enemy. Other than that, they can do pretty much the same thing.

Bard, is always needed. But can't solo for anything. So in your group you will want a bard. But it can be quite dull in pve (you have to keep the end/power song going. So you cannot switch to melee to help out some).

Basic setup would probably be something like:
1. bard
2. druid
3. bm (or vw/caster)
4. dps (or tank dps)
Na Fianna Dragun / The Dark Alliance

Thanks for the feedback Puz. Currently we rolled a Bard a BM (Me) and a Hero. We are looking for our fourth to roll up a druid so it looks like we are on the right track.

Thanks for the welcome. I always remember the Hibs giving me the most trouble in RVR as a Midgard champ.

Bard BM Hero Druid is a nice setup, but be sure to get a Druid since that is quiet important, otherwise I d go with BM Bard Druid.

Bard/Bm/Hero/Druid is a great 4 man set up, but I would say Champ in place of Hero would be perfectly fine. As long as you got 1 BM for Charge then Champ I think in some situations could be better than Hero since he has some ranged interupts and dd's when trying to take down casters or healers. I would say for a 3 man you would either want to go Bard/BM/Druid or Bard/Bm/Champ. NS is a very good solo class, but the only grouping in RvR you will be doing is in BG's and with other stealthers. If you ever have any questions in game feel free to contact me.
