I suck at leveling fast, and I know its always a biotch to level no matter what route but what would be the best way to get to 40 fast? was thinking s/s might be legit since I might have less down time from blocking, but would that just be slow since i'm dropping the offhand?

No need. Just go full weapon/CD with maybe a few in Parry to get your defense up a bit. This should do for PvE, don't forget to respec at 40 though to something you can build your final spec on. A few good specs are: DPS Setup: 50 CD 40 Blades/Pierce 11 parry Helps if you're good at landing sidestun of course. Slam Setup: 50 CD 39 Weapon 42 shield rest parry Slam is always handy, great for both solo as grped RvR, especially since Hibs tend to run caster groups quite often. Inbetween: 50CD 37 Blades/Pierce 23 Shield 6 Parry This is my current spec and even though I just respecced I can definately see its potential in grouped RvR. The fact that you still get a 51 total spec at RR4 on both Pierce and Blades makes it viable for end RvR aswell. I play this spec as a primary peel/DPS tank. Since you always have the dmg type available for any dps class, even your backsnares will hurt. Whenever you still need to stun your target for whatever reason you can just pick your shield out and backstun him after all. It's definately worth it since the stun is 6 seconds long, which means 2 seconds more than the one from your sidestyle, and it's easier to land since you will be in the back of your enemies most of the time anyway. One last tip: PICK FIRBOLG! ![]() |

RvR DPS Setup:
50 CD, 39 Piercing, 39 Slash In RvR switch mainhand based on enemy. -> More DPS! ![]() |

You'll feel useless in caster grps without a handier/stronger form of stun than your sidestun tbh. |

Alright thanks guys, good advice, I like the idea of going two weapon types for the resist tables, but would it be more legit to use my CD styles or my weapon type styles? wasn't sure if CD was just for the offhand variance or if the styles there are good

The best styles are in the CD line (sidestun chain, backsnare) and since CD is the spec u wanna go to 50 with when going 2xdmg types, you will have to use it also for the fact that it has the highest style bonus compared to the base weapon line styles. |

Yeah spec is for a bm who has already another stunner in the assisttrain. Like 2nd BM or VW |
