The Viability of Blunt Heroes

I've been wanting to try a hero for a while now, and I was thinking about going Blunt/Shield spec, but as I was told by one of my guildmates, Blunt and Shield don't mix well. So I was wondering what you all think. Can blunt and shield be an effective build or would I be much better off taking another weapon style?

doesnt matter as long as you have 50shield and 50cs

Crush damage just isn't that great when looking at resist tables for the enemy realms.

The back snare is nice, and high-end spec side styles for off of Slam. I honestly can't tell you much about Blunt/Slash styles, as I don't spec one hand ![]() |

Blades would be the best choice in Hib since it comes with a side snare at the 10th speclevel, which brings us to the overall (! imo) best spec you can possibly have for a hero: - 10 blades - 50 shield - 50 CS or LW (Personal preferation however CS will be better for what the hero's supposed to do, defend. Not to mention it's doing + dmg to all chain wearers.) - rest parry This leaves you with I think only 1 or 2 pts left, getting the max utility from your char. Though in the end it all comes down to what you like most and what you're best at doing. In defense of truth-to-experience.
