Does anyone seriously play a mentalist till lvl 50? I can't imagine they have much function or purpose in zerg v zerg or 8 v 8 scenarios other than cannon fodder.
If you do play one till 50, do you play them as a primary healer? Interrupts? Wtf? |

They usually play menta as Light spec
if i well remember .... 46 light 28 mana Good single DD for groupe setup Enchant/Eld/Menta assist on debuff. and for the Demez, 2nd demezer in the group. anyway, there isn't many caster grp roaming, so there isn't menta grp in rvr. |

Yup like Artefact said they're best in a (rare) hib debuff group. If they are around it's mostly a set group. Have played/seen PUG debuff groups on rare occasions though.

but not light/moon, u need to specc light 45(46) and mentalism 28 for the demezz and if u specc just 45 light u cn go on 10 moon, just figure out what u want for ur self

Common spec for ments RvR 8 man group ^^
45 Light 10 Mana 28 Menta Light 45= Best DD for hib, better chance to land stun. rupting pet. mana 10= 1 pom, frist hot. menta 28= Demezz, Back up mezz ( 44 secs base ), stronger single heals. and 4 part dot. Suggested RAs purge1, MoC1 ( for demezzing/rupting purposes ) and PD to help last longer in tank chain. ments main role is the support of there bard, a pealer for there healer group mates. and 2nd type rupter. Your normaly the first to drop tho ^^ main reason for MoC1 and PD And so the longer you can stay alive the longer YOUR Main CC can do its job. A good ment i think has the 2nd hardest job for good 8 man... Bard being the hardest. ( my bard already used 4 Qbars lol at lv 45. ) Sal |

Personally I'd go 46 Light for better Charm Results (up to level 54 with a bit of RR should be possible) - i got resisted quite a lot by level 54's till going from 45 to 46 light.
The first HoT .. if you want it you can get it - 10% heal over 10 secs isn't so great though, can do as much with 2 mentalism base line heals. IMO the support role fits more to a Mana Ment - usually you should back off a bit at inc anyways to be able to demezz and try to go unnoticed as long as possible. Still, being gifted with a nice spec dd nuking isn't a bad idea at all. Generally, Caster is quite hard to play against tank-heavy setups as usually get AT quite soon when you're the only caster in group. Gettint an enchanter mate to debuff heat damage will give pretty awesome damage numbers, though ![]() Just prepare to be dead after first 30 secs most of the time ![]() <img src="http://www.fallenearth.fr/daoc/daoc2.php?player=Thraxia" />
